Vin Diesel Says Fast 6 to be Filmed in Europe; Rihanna to Play Villain

The Fast and Furious franchise is finally coming to Europe with sultry R&B sensation Rihanna to play the bad girl.

Via his Facebook page Vin Diesel has confirmed that "Fast 6", the latest installment of the "Fast and Furious" franchise, will be based in Europe. "Preproduction on Fast 6 is up and running! For years we have wanted to venture the storyline to Europe, and now because of you... it's become a reality," wrote Diesel. It is also being reported that recording artist and actress Rihanna is set to play the villain, with British tabloid 'The Sun' adding that filming will take place in England.

Speaking with the tabloid, an unnamed source said: "Rihanna impressed with her acting debut in Battleship. Writers think she'll be perfect for the role. Her character has plenty of bite and doesn't take any prisoners - just like her in real life. It's a step up the ladder for her and could lead to bigger action roles." "Fast 6" will be coming to the big screen in May 2013.
