Description: Upon closer inspection, it appears that there are paddle shifters behind the 911 GT3's steering wheel, meaning this mule is using a PDK. In terms of styling, the new Porsche has only a bit of cam...Add Comments1
Lou GuerreroMay 22, 2012 I hope so. This wing doesn't look like it'd operate in clean air. Looks more like a spoiler.
Lou GuerreroMay 27, 2012 Not sure Sachin realizes this is a GT3 and may have a roll cage like the 997 does.
Leon LaplataMay 23, 2012 991 GT3 will be bad a$$.....I hope the front end won't be identical to the aero kit they offer!
Do you guys see similarities?
quadrophineMay 22, 2012 Porsche has invested serious time money and man power to make there 911s exceptionally good on the track. and they have been historically some of the most successful machines for those who can take them to the edge, and keep them there.
Sachin MurthyMay 22, 2012 Porsche is more about usability and accessibility and practicality. They aren't built to compete with the weekend cruisers they're meant to be everyday cars so it makes sense y ppl would want to put the same money into a different car..
John SerelyMay 22, 2012 Buddy is right, we would look similar to people who don't know what they are talking about, but we would be very smart, fast and all-around good!
Buddy RobinsonMay 22, 2012 No, if humans were like Porsches, we would look like apes but could read
Minds and be incredibly strong
Lou GuerreroMay 22, 2012 @ vince, the article says the production version will be higher.
Chris GainesMay 22, 2012 I bet if they changed the headlights ppl would be less inclined to see them as glorified vw beetles
John SerelyMay 22, 2012 Well guys, Porsche goes by the saying "don't mess with perfection" and they do a pretty good job
Josh ?hompsonMay 22, 2012 Porsche hasn't done anything radical and revolutionary because they keep trying to perfect on their heritage. I would drive a Porsche like crazy
Nick SmithMay 22, 2012 I agree with gammo and the argument he's trying to make. But if I had the $$ it would be hard to not seriously consider a Porsche (no Boxster/Cayman tho). You know you'll get your $$'s worth
Vince CassiMay 22, 2012 You might disagree, but this looks too short for a GT3
gammo66May 22, 2012 I understand the whole evolution of Porsche its just a bit on the slow side, if humans were like Porsche we'd still be apes. don't get me wrong they are good lookin cars, they're just not exciting to look at anymore
Carlos Gallego RodriguezMay 22, 2012 No, it doesn't need a big change, porsche is abaut the evolution. What it needs is a normal steering wheel ( not the electric one ) and a manual gearbox
Justin KlumppMay 22, 2012 Ya but they need a serious change. Its not that special driving a supposed super car that theres many thousands of. If i ever had the money for a super car i want an exclusive one
John SerelyMay 22, 2012 @gammo and Justin it's not hard at all to tell between different generations and trims of porsches. It's like differentiating between BMW and a merc
David Pires-IhsaanMay 22, 2012 This is longer, lower, and sleeker than the predecessor.
gammo66May 22, 2012 agree if I had the cash I'd never buy a Porsche over its competitors cuz they're all the same & just a bit boring to look at IMO
Justin PedotoMay 22, 2012 B that looks exactly the same as the old one, I hope that these are nothing like the real thing
Sachin MurthyMay 22, 2012 @Dennis good point I agree with that who wants to deal with hitting speed bumps
Dennis ChoongMay 22, 2012 Front overhang looks really long... will need hydraulic lifting dampers for better clearance
quadrophineMay 22, 2012 kinda reminds me of the old gt1 maybe the longer wheel base, but I like the direction they're going in. it looks sportier. not that the previous generations didn't, this just mire so. longer lower sleeker
