2013 Range Rover Strolling About in England

The next-generation Range Rover is taking shape.
Our intrepid spy photographers were prowling around Land Rover headquarters in Gaydon, Warwickshire, England and spotted the next-generation all-new Range Rover wearing just a spot of Tetris-inspired camouflage. You may recall that the last time we saw the new British SUV, it was covered in some pretty hefty camo so this is the clearest indication yet of what the new model will look like. The spy shots show off the Range Rover's new headlights, intakes, upright grille and more rounded engine hood.

For improved fuel efficiency, the new model makes use of an aluminum platform and lightweight materials which are said to give the Range Rover a curb weight of under 650-750lbs than the current version. In terms of power, the Range Rover will utilize a tweaked version of the current-gen's 4.4-liter turbo diesel V8 and 5.0-liter supercharged V8. The British brand will also make a supercharged V6 engine available for the SUV, sourced from the Jaguar F-Type and rated at 375hp.
