Ya slp also did bundles for 03 cobra's, c5 vette's etc. They has an slp 575hp pack for 03 cobras that was a pulley, intake, chip and exhaust for about $3,500 if I remember right. Made 480-495whp no less with a Bassein exhaust system headers back.
Slp has been building fbodys since the the 80s they didnt work on the firehawks they buit them they were the first after market firm to get aproved by gm you could have there parts covered under warranty and financed with your car right off the lot and theres been an slp zl1 since 98 this just the continuation since gm took the name back
Actually the SLP that created the firehawks is not around anymore, I know I called them inquiring on how I could make my FIrebird into a Firehawk replica

Slp is very respected Just ad Patrick says. They've been doing camaros for a while now. Not sure if they worked on the firehawks tho? Patrick you know?
Slp is a tuning firm similar to steeda for fords except not quite as race proven. Very oem caliber parts and dependable but at a marked price that screams business savvy meets demand and market conditions. Again, similar not identical to steeda
SLP blows, masters of bolting on after market parts and triple charging for it. You don't have the heritage or brand to demand these rates. Buy a factory ZL-1 which is leaps and bounds better and includes a warranty.
they charge more just cause they know ppl will still pay it and then they make a bigger profit. kinda like when the corvette zr1 first came out they raped ppl on them

oh yea forgot, this may hve more power but zl1 was built around its power and has the magnetic ride controll shocks, zl1 would dust this on the track, strip maybe not
zl1 isnt expensive but gonna be hard to get one since there almost all been preordered and its a limited edition thing i believe
Even the base model comes with 15 more horsepower than the ZL1 and it's 20k less. But i agree with you. I'd rather the ZL1. That car is just badass.
Actually it's not badly priced. The ZL1 cost around 75k and you get 585hp. This is 65k and you get 115 more horsepower. Trust me I love the ZL1 but this isn't that bad of a price

Ive driven a few of these and elk I have to say is its a nice ride and plenty of power buy it has a potato for a shift nob, very uncomfortable.
Yeah but I sure do love the sound of a roots supercharger. I know trick flow make some nice heads and cam combos so I might do that and build my future C5 with a procharged 408.
