We'd be behind. How did you not learn that?
Kyle Smith May 15, 2012
How can automakers continue to make ugly cars when they have this beauty to reference! Gorgeous!
Rami Wilson May 14, 2012
The only toyota that could evan sniff my "Leno" collection.
Evan Wolfe May 14, 2012
... The 3000GT is Mitsubishi (known as the GTO in japan) while this is a Toyota... No relation at all besides being japanese
Phillip Coy May 14, 2012
I like the 3000gt. But it doesn't come close to comparing to this level of sexy.
Paul Trahan May 14, 2012
Why even bring the 3000GT up? Yes they are both Japanese sports cars but the similarities pretty much end there.
Jackson Michael May 14, 2012
I'd guess more like 3/4
David Pires-Ihsaan May 14, 2012
because you are half blind?
Jason Colkitt May 14, 2012
Personally I liked the 3000gt better

What citroën isn't horrible?
David Pires-Ihsaan May 14, 2012
horrible car either way..
Josh Banning May 14, 2012
It's the 2CV isn't it
Description: It is argued by some that the Japanese were good at copying others, though looking at some of their first cars makes that seem untrue. The 2000GT, however, has a different story to tell. It is hard to...

A lot of monies. If the history is legit.
Jerry Cole May 14, 2012
and how much would one of these go for?
Avery Williams May 14, 2012
I see a green hood instead.
Jackson Michael May 14, 2012
Black hood=gross
Abraham Mendoza May 14, 2012
Never seen a race version of the car.
Description: Goertz didn't create a gorgeous car, but a basic sports car that at the time was an achievement for Japan. The 2000GT was not as beautifully crafted as the handmade Ferrari and not as sharp in i...

Matt Piccolo May 14, 2012
2000-2003 s2k made 240 hpa with a 2.0l... 2004-2009 with a 2.2 but it had better low end torque
Matty Michaels May 14, 2012
08-10 cobalt ss turbo, 260 HP and TRQ stock
Vince DeMasi May 14, 2012
Exactly you say stock but stock means turbos like a well built stock 2.0l can make 240 maybe
Jason Levy May 14, 2012
Only with the help of turbos do they go that high
Brady Jacoby May 14, 2012
Nowadays they put 300hp in 2.0L motors. Stock.

gt5 is a simulator that proffessionals use. not just a "game"
David Griego May 15, 2012
Thank you Abraham, this ain't wona them there onlyne eenglish clases. So quit being a Nazi about it.
Abraham Mendoza May 14, 2012
CARS. We are here to talk about CARS. Not grammar or politics, just CARS.
Jackson Michael May 14, 2012
WELL. Can they not handle WELL. For Christ's sake, learn some damn grammar.
David Griego May 14, 2012
It's a simulator, not game, Also, those cars were made for road racing, not drag strips, can they not handle good?
Jackson Michael May 14, 2012
When you said "handled as good as this car", I died a little inside
Vincent Butler May 14, 2012
It's a video game. So unrealistic.
David Griego May 14, 2012
Well the 60's muscle cars on GT5 handled just as good if not better than these little cars. Example: 69 Z28, 71 Mach 1, 67 cougar Xr7, 67 GT350, ever the massive 70 Challenger 426 HEMI handled as good as this car. Chargers were a different story.
Mikey Jimenez May 14, 2012
@Byakka you might want to restate your comment. You mean the cars performed better, cause American V8's were a lot more powerful than this.
Chris Penza May 14, 2012
You can get this in forza 4 but it's f class. I haven't driven it yet
Byakka Hirakawa May 14, 2012
Take the fact that japan stuck to making small motors and still got them to perform as well as alot of american v8s
David Griego May 14, 2012
You can get it on GT5 and it the best handling japan car of the 60's, next to the Mazda Cosmos which handles good as well.
Kevin Rehbock May 14, 2012
I bet it was light enough to handle well.
Brady Jacoby May 14, 2012
I bet it handled good especially with what we now consider slow.
Jackson Michael May 14, 2012
I'm pretty sure Helen Keller could write better than this guy when she was 7
Devin Babyn May 14, 2012
How could being deaf even effect your ability to read and write. Unless you're illiterate cause you couldn't be taught or something
Patrick Joseph May 14, 2012
Some people think he spells funny cause he's deaf. I know a deaf girl and she reads and spells fine. So this is no excuse. I think he does it on purpose. God knows.
Brandon Lidy May 14, 2012
Maybe he has a disability. Or he does it purposely
Evan Wolfe May 14, 2012
Simply beautiful
Hektor Yberg May 14, 2012
Why doesn't he read the comment about he's spelling?
Mikey Jimenez May 14, 2012
@Black Honda remove all the A's in your sentence and it would sound a hell of a lot better.
Chris Penza May 14, 2012
Have any of you guys understood anything he ever said?
Michael Horne May 14, 2012
Carbuzz should seriously do a reader interview segment with Black Honda. xD
Paul Lissona May 14, 2012
Ik finally haha.
Henz Herrero May 14, 2012
That almost made sense...
Black Honda May 14, 2012

Patrick Joseph May 14, 2012
So they went from 4 discs to rear drums. Now that's evolution.
Jackson Michael May 14, 2012
6,800 was actually a lot back then
Alex Arvanitis May 14, 2012
*426 hemi hit $6,000,000. 440's have hit $2 & $3,000,000.
Alex Arvanitis May 14, 2012
A plum crazy with white top cuda 440-6pack auto (1/6 I believe ever produced that way) sold for about 6million. Many sell for over $2m. Before disagreeing, do a quick google search of "hemi cuda $6,000,000" Anyways, I derailed, 2000gt ftmfw so sexy
Phil Johnson May 14, 2012
Yeah I highly doubt any 6-pack car has hit seven digits. And I'm sure they cost under $5K brand new.
David Pires-Ihsaan May 14, 2012
doubt a six pack sold for over 1mil.
Abraham Mendoza May 14, 2012
Shelby was everywhere back then!!! Wow...
Alex Arvanitis May 14, 2012
Awesome car none the less. I've always loved everything but the price about these cars. That and maybe some extra power
Alex Arvanitis May 14, 2012
Ya awesome car but they priced it way too high back then. You could buy a basic home with that kind of money then. A jag or Ferrari wasn't that much unless you bought the top of the line ones. A 440 6pack cuda was 5,000. Now they're $5,000,000!
Description: For Toyota, the 2000GT was a turning point. It proved the Japanese could produce desirable cars for the screen and track. Other Japanese automakers paid close attention and soon began their own sports...

Matthew Reindorp May 15, 2012
To... Much... Sexy... Must... Stop... Looking.... Arrrrgggh it's so damn beautiful
Zack Farmer May 14, 2012
This picture is pure sex
Dimitry Mikhailovich Malikov May 15, 2012
I don't like the front at all.
Devin Babyn May 15, 2012
Well pretty much the only reason I think it can be better is because the Z's were fairly similar and personally I think they look a lot better
Abraham Mendoza May 14, 2012
Well...any car could be better than it already is, but these are still companies that need to make $$$, so development costs for this car would be even higher than it was then. It was expensive then, imagine if it was "better"?
Devin Babyn May 14, 2012
Oh it's an amazing try. I just know it can be better. So by that I can't say I like it
Abraham Mendoza May 14, 2012
Considering the crap they were making at the time? I'd say it was a good try.
Devin Babyn May 14, 2012
I have to disagree. This does nothing for me. It has tons of potential and could've been amazing but the way it is I'm not a fan
Patrick Joseph May 14, 2012
Yeah shut up naked man!
Jackson Michael May 14, 2012
Why are you so f***ing ugly
Bradley Masonn May 14, 2012
Why is this car so f*cking ugly?
John Serely May 14, 2012
Red is a great color for it
Brady Jacoby May 14, 2012
That looks really nice! Needs some wider tires. That beats most cars appearance today!
Dimitry Mikhailovich Malikov May 15, 2012
The side is pretty nice.
Andrew Strong May 14, 2012
honorable mention for series 5 rx7 in the back ground!
Lou Guerrero May 14, 2012
