Soooo.... $200g+ for this. Hmmm, for 229 you can get yourself a 458 Italia. I'm sure this mustang outperforms it, but, it's still just a stang. I'm sure it's worth 200g to someone, just not me. Impressive and good looks, nonetheless.
I just can't get past the headlights. Anyone else think it looks crosseyed? The projectors should be switched to the outside of the headlight housing, not the inside. And when I say "outside," I mean towards the fender, not on the "inside" next to the grille.

I think the color makes the car because in person the blue looks really good. They also had a a gts there, 2 gt350s (one convertible) and a gt500 super snake 50th anniversary in black with gold stripes and black wheels. So HOT
Shelby did design those, he left Ford for a long time and was working with Dodge. I'll give you a hint on his biggest success story there, it's another snake named roadster like the one he built in cahoots with Ford.

for around this price you can build a ford gt 1000 through Hennesey Tuning. Atleast that would be able to turn... sorta... Any rwd car with 1000hp is a death trap. This more than most because its built for the road.
Style of driving and what you plan to do with it. Self-built cars are always more respectable that kits and bought performance.
@Brian, not sure what you're looking at, but tt kits can be had for much, much less. However, the biggest issue is that you're looking at kit prices, instead of doing it yourself for a fraction of the cost, and getting results that work for your own
You can buy a 2010 gt500, then pay a reputable shop to build the block, tt it, install a full Griggs suspension, throw on 6piston brembo's, nt01's, fully build the trans, fuel, and rear and install a cervini's gt500kr body kit for <$125k -1200whp 1g
this thing can only go straight. I would still by the supped up GTR instead. Atleast you can take it on a track and go Lrft, right, stop, and go. I would never pay that kind of money to drive in a straight line.
Ha ha! Shelby's been smoking too much crack if they think adding $150K to the price of a GT500 is a sensible value. Heck...like someone stated earlier...you can add $10-15K to the engine and have a GT500 with 950 or so HP. I'll take the other $135K and buy a Ford GT and customize my garage with a hydraulic lift to work on them when I want to.

Good luck with getting any car with a 0-60 under 2 seconds and having a 220mph car for under 200k new.
Well i think the 200k price tag will only be worth it if the 0-62 time is under 2sec and a top speed of over 220-230 but since i highly doubt this will be the case consideing aerodinamism and weight of the car i dont think the 200k price tag is justifiable.

100k total meaning with the $50k gt500 and then $50k to Shelby You can buy all the parts on this car an have a shop install them for less than $29k with labor and tax.
Its 5.4 based. They didn't have access to the 5.8 when they began development a year ago. It's being released now to commemorate 50 years. It's way way way over priced in my opinion. I'd see no point in paying more than $50k for this, $100k total.

Why would anyone call the Mustang a tank? Did any of you even look-up the curb weight? No...I didn't think so...because this car is no heavier than a Camaro, GT-R, or a BMW M3 for that matter.
Viper is a Muscle car, but for some ppl in Europe or Asia think Viper is Super Car is becoz it's stunned ppl at the Nurburgring. But for me Muscle car is more like it.
Viper is a super car, albeit just not an exotic one. For that matter Mustangs, Camaros, and Challengers aren't even muscle cars. They are called pony cars. Though the argument could be made that these have morphed into muscle cars.

Yes. The vent is functional. It extracts air from the intercooler, which is located in the upper part of the grille, not down below like most cars.

It won't melt; modded 03 cobra's run 8's with the factory body panels and these panels are much stronger. Still this thing is way overpriced. Ridiculously so.

They aren't 215/40/20's so that's a lie about 8" tires but they are 285/35/20's which are only about 11" wide. Nitto Nt05r's in 315/30/20's would hook just fine. Those handle great as well. Want drag race traction; you could run et streets.
All on 8 in tires too. Only takes 100hp to break the tires loose. Lol. Now what w/the rest of the 900?
answer to how you do this....get a supercharger with almost as much displacement as the engine...dumb if you ask me. i bet you it doesnt put all the power down unless its running slicks. aka cant drive this car as a daily and use it like its meant to be used. bummer
This motor at the same boost level with twin 62/54's would make 1200whp+. 1100 flywheel hp is barely 960whp. Not to mention belt slip an heat soak issues. Modulars deserve turbo builds, sc is cool and what not but nothing trumps twins for the $$$

Guys... Making 1000 hp in today's world is not that impressive. Anyone with a little but of money and know how could do it. If you have a lot of money it would make it a whole lot easier. Making power means nothing unless it performs.
my gt500 has 780 HP and it handles the turns just fine ... of course I'm sure you car does better ....

An evo is also a 4 cylinder. And you would be shocked on how well nissans and Toyota engine can handle that power. Look at the 2jz for instance
It's not easy but you could squeeze 1000 hp out of a 6. I mean, my friends Mitsubishi Evo 9 is pushing 850 hp.
Nissan does wonders with a V6, it would be interesting to see what they can do in the mustang.

Hello lovely. If this is the street version, this is a 3.6L supercharger with freakin 19PSI!! The track version has a 4.0 Supercharger. That is rediculous.

I know this car is made for a straight line with its drag spec axel and adjustable suspension and raw power but they overlooked the most obvious thing. I like this thing but they should have done so something with the Ford gt. I think mustangs are a dime a dozen, they're everywhere!! The gt's engine would have been putting out more hp stock and would be easier to crank out higher hp #'s.
That's my problem with these over powered Shelby/mustangs. Always increasing power but never properly getting that power to the ground. For example the Honda civic tires.

It all boils down to knowing your limits, I've been fortunate enough to drive an Aston Martin DB9, but I didn't just jump in and floor it. People need to respect the fact that cars can be very dangerous if not properly used.

It's a matter of getting used to a high HP car. I have a 600 horse Nova and it took a month till i was comfortable with it. I drove one of my friends 900 horse Vette and it's really just about not being an idiot thinking your better then you are.

The street legal one is 950hp the drag one is 1100hp. I drive a 250hp grand marquis (slightly better than stock) and the thought of the jump to 1100hp scares me. I'd crash.
