According to the ancient Mayan calendar, the end of the world will be taking place this December 21st. But for those who do have a real fear of it all ending before next Christmas, perhaps you should consider a proper survival vehicle. This Hemi V8-powered Wrangler not only has the necessary power boost, but it also can come with a replica, but functional, roof-mounted M2 machine gun.

In addition, it has a full roll cage and armor plating (in case the zombies get too close). The Jeep Recon comes courtesy of the good people (way to plan ahead guys) over at VWerks. Along with the 5.7-liter Hemi and the machine gun, the suspension has been modified with a VWerks 4-inch lift kit, new front and rear axles, 39-inch tires with 17-inch diameter bead lock wheels, and even a front steering Ram Assist that provides precise steering. The armor plating not only protects passengers, but also the gunner, as it provides a sturdy platform for the gunner's perch. The gun itself can rotate 360-degrees.

There's also a military style rear bumper that's able to handle many towing needs. The interior, however, takes a softer approach. Instead of the typical bare-bones hardware, VWerks opted for two-tone Katzkin leather upholstery and custom floor mats. All other factory instruments have been left untouched. Hey, you should at least be comfortable before the end of the world. If you're afraid of zombies or anything similar, VWerks will gladly sell you this survivalist Wrangler. Pricing wasn't announced, but since it's the end of the world, does money even matter anymore?
