They need to figure out how to cut down on the battery weight. That 0-60 is pretty bad for that amount of torque

The Beetle and the 911 were created at the same time in collaboration, with similar styling cues, but the 911 was not a "spin-off" of the Beetle.

It's funny how the Volkswagen Beetle is growing into a Porsche throughout time. I'm thinking about ten years from now that it will look just like the new Porsche 911.
