The Citroen Numero 9 Concept is heading to Beijing.
Citroen is a French company. Numero is a Spanish (or Italian) word for number. The Numero 9 Concept will go on sale in China. Confused much? Citroen's DS design study has culminated in the Numero 9 Concept. The gorgeous, though thoroughly confusing concept model is engaging in looks yet confusing in implementation and the accompanying video doesn't help either. Good thing there is a press release. The Numero 9 Concept is a plug-in full-hybrid model with a 50km (31-mile) range in EV mode.
The Numero 9 Concept returns 166mpg, packs a bolstered-by-a-boost-function 295hp and emits only 39 g/km of CO2.
The shooting brake design gives the Numero 9 shows off an elegant and refined look and the concept should serve as the harbinger of new models meant for China, such as an SUV/crossover, C-segment sedan and larger D-segment four-door executive sedan. The Citroen Numero 9 concept will make its official debut at the Beijing Motor Show on April 23rd.
