@Michael. Because it costs a helluva bomb to develop an engine that can pass today's emissions tests. And Pagani's sales volume is simply too low to make it economical.
The best part about it is that it doesn't look like anything else on the road, and that's what makes it fantastic.
I think it's really ugly, the Zonda is much better. The Cinque is still the best!

What's with that gitty little grin it's got, still a hot car and a beautifully built performance engine, would love one, would hate the service costs and insurance!!

Good hell, who cares about the 0-60 time? It's RWD with 738 torque! Those numbers are based on street tires anyway. Slicks probably would net a sub 3 second 0-60. It's all about traction, and this car just lights the tires up.
its not all about 0 to 60 timmes you need to think about power to weight ratios and lightness

I agree with Penza, but im guessing mercedes funded this and pagani just tried to output the maximum horsepower to match this cars look. I think it is reasonable...the car is definitely a win.
0-60 in traffic is terribly useful, isn't it?
Yep its because its RWD. 0-60 doesnt really matter when youre on the track anyway
the veyron and the gtr only have 2.5 and 2.8 second 0-60 times because they rely on awd
Yeah because 3.3sec suck. I don't think I'll mind the extra .5 seconds.
I'm sorry, but with 700hp you should have a 0-60 time under 3 seconds
