Video: Mercedes SLS AMG with Akrapovic Exhaust Sounds Boss

Super light, titanium alloy exhaust with handcrafted carbon-fiber tail pipes and sound-controlling valves has given the SLS AMG a racing machine growl.
The high-performance Akrapovic Titanium Evolution exhaust system gives the SLS AMG gets an extra 12hp and 10lb-ft of torque via the system's titanium link pipes with resonators and rear titanium muffler, while shedding 12kg in the process. That takes output to 583hp and 490lb-ft of torque. But it's the distinctive sound that the legendary Gullwing makes when it breathes through the super light exhaust system that compelled us to share this video.
Thanks to a pair of handcrafted carbon-fiber tailpipes with a special titanium alloy core and a wireless kit for the exhaust valve control, the 6.3-liter V8 roars like a racing machine with the valves open, something that can be done with a simple press of a button. Hear it and weep.
