2013 Toyota Avalon Teased Ahead of New York Auto Show
Rendering of a brand-new sedan model has gotten tongues wagging.
With a little over a week to go before the New York Auto Show opens its doors, Toyota is on the move with its all-new sedan, widely anticipated to be the next Avalon. This teaser rendering is of a four-door saloon that was designed in the U.S. and which Toyota describes as having "an elegant yet athletic look." It's unclear whether the car will be coming in concept or production-ready form, but we suspect the latter.

If guesses of a new Avalon are wide of the mark, then given the rear has clear aesthetic links to that of the Toyota GT-86 (and by extension the Scion FR-S and Subaru BRZ), could this be a four-door 86 concept? All will be revealed next Thursday on 5 April, although check back for further teaser shots which might come through in the coming days.
