Description: Nissan has just given their brand-new super-efficient DeltaWing racer its debut on the Sebring circuit. Two videos were released, the first unfortunately without sound but shows the radical racer in a...Add Comments4
Max GarciaMar 21, 2012 Guys whole point of delta wing is aerodynamics ok say during lemans cause it's more arrow like its spends less energy cutting thru the air that's why it doesn't have to fuel as often as other teams so shut up and admire this car it could be the next winner at lemans...
Mark NewfangledMar 21, 2012 It's not a Nissan. It just has a Nissan engine. They had nothing to do with the design or manufacture of the car at all.
Jackson RojasMar 20, 2012 That's not innovation that's just wrong and also how does it turn good
Alan ClarkMar 20, 2012 Thoughts: 1. Batmobile, 2. Looks "wrong". 3. Looks slow. Nissan planning on winning (when/if they actually compete) based on fuel economy (slow but less pit stops)?
Description: The Nissan DeltaWing will run in the 24 Hours of Le Mans, though it won't be a competitive model. Check out the cockpit cam below.Add Comments4
Paul TrahanMar 20, 2012 Marino Franchitti and Michael Krumm are the current drivers for the DeltaWing. They will also be driving if for LeMans. Marino is Dario's younger brother.
Carlton SalmonMar 20, 2012 Is that really Dario Franchitti driving?
Dale SchroederMar 20, 2012 I do hope this makes it through the entire race, I'm really curious how it will hold up in actual racing conditions.
Phillip FitchewMar 20, 2012 Did they get Dario Franchitti to drive?
Description: The incredible albeit funky race car could revolutionize the world of racing, as it weighs roughly half as much as normal competition cars now and has half the aerodynamic drag. That means higher effi...Add Comments1
Honda CivicMar 20, 2012 Does anyone know the amount of HP and top speed?
Max GarciaMar 21, 2012 David I agree with you this delta wing better win or I will be angry and I will crash a Audi lmp1 prototype in nurburing (forza)
Paul LissonaMar 20, 2012 To completely agree with Carroll, I'm completely into traditional cars, not radical designs.
David Pires-IhsaanMar 20, 2012 honestly I think that this car will kill at the 24 hueres of le mans. it is streamlined, has a more fuel-efficient engine and can still keep up the pace of other lmp cars, which means that while other cars are refueling this car will be knocking out lap after lap.. I see two choices: this getting banned from racing, or becoming the new body style for future lmp cars..
LyompMar 20, 2012 i think your right. or if anything they could make their own class or series but i hope this isnt the future of racing. it just doesnt seem right
Christian CarrollMar 20, 2012 Indycar was very close in selecting the deltawing design as their car design for 2012- very glad they did not. I understand the performance benefits provided by the delta- its just hard to wrap your head around that this is still a "car" and not a rocket ship. I would rather forgo the tech advances to keep a more conventional car look.
