SEAT Ibiza Given a Major Refresh for 2013

VW's Spanish division is getting ready to roll out their updated 2013 Ibiza.
There's another brand under the Volkswagen Group umbrella that's often forgotten by some. In fact, for those who live outside of Europe, the SEAT brand may not be known at all. However, VW seems like they're still intent on reviving the Spanish brand and turn it into a consistent money-maker (much like Skoda) with solid market niche. And now SEAT has revealed their updated Ibiza line-up, which has normally appealed to younger buyers across Europe.

Featuring a redesigned body, the 2013 Ibiza also offers an impressive array of innovative technologies such as VW's TDI and TSI engine units, DSG transmissions and a start/stop system. Basically think of the 2013 Ibiza as a more youthful Volkswagen Polo, but a much less expensive Audi A1. In addition to the updated exterior, SEAT gave the interior a significant update such as a new instrument binnacle with an improved display. The engine range consists of variety of gasoline and diesel units, like the base 1.2-liter with 66hp and a 150hp 1.4-liter TSI with a supercharger and turbocharger that takes it from 0 to 62 mph in 7.8 seconds.
And like the outgoing Ibiza lineup, the new models also come in a variety of body styles. These include the three-door SC, ST sedan and five-door hatch. Official pricing hasn't been released and expect to see the new Ibiza on sale later this summer.
