Mercedes-Benz Concept Style Coupe (CLC) to Debut at LA Art Festival

The ‘baby CLS’ will make its world debut in concept form at the LA Museum of Contemporary Art on April 20.
Mercedes-Benz's Avant/Garde Diaries, a global online interview magazine they conceived in 2011, will hold their 'Transmission LA: AV Club' event from April 20 to May 6 at the LA Museum of Contemporary Art (MOCA). "The aim of Avant/Garde Diaries is to offer a platform for creativity. Curiosity and the joy of breaking through existing barriers are drivers for innovation and progress, and not just at Mercedes-Benz," said Anders Sundt Jensen, Vice President Brand Communications Mercedes-Benz.

"A special highlight of the festival in Los Angeles will be the artistic staging of the Mercedes-Benz Concept Style Coupe, which will be unveiled to the world for the first time." Mike D from the Beastie Boys will host the event and also be involved in the unveiling of the Mercedes-Benz Concept Style Coupe, otherwise known as the CLC. By revealing the car at such an event, Mercedes should earn itself a fair amount of art world street cred. The concept further evolves the F800 Style Concept revealed two years ago as well as the next-generation B-Class.
In essence, this will be a coupe-styled compact sedan that slots beneath the CLS, sharing a FWD platform with the new A- and B-classes and an upcoming crossover. An AMG-tuned model with AWD and 300hp could also be in the works.
