Just wish some of you guys can see the fuel prices in other places besides north America. I just filled up my Lexus as cost me $122 and it was only 58 liters. :-/ Times are changing.
David you are absolutely right. Times are changing and the smart manufactures are thinking about the future and the demands of their future consumers. Putting more hybrids in the market now will only help to reduce their prices later.
For real. Prime example, the CRZ. If they would've just put a nice NA 2.0 in it with a manual it would've sold SO much better. AND it would maintain good mpgs and still be really fun to drive. It'd make it a lot easier to tune too.

I get your point David. But true car enthusiasts love their manual transmissions and their classics. You don't revive an old name if you're going to dramatically change the essence of the car. It will tarnish the name.
I agree with both of you... There should be a good mix of hybrid and normal throughout the car industry but they should be new cars not existing ones
370z, challenger, mx-5, camaro, mustang, lancer, impreza, their not hybrids and r doing fine, so y does Toyota have to change it with theirs, I mean I know many cars r going to go hybrid in a few years but leave the sports cars

Matt this is the only time I agree with it's not the same when you can't smell and hear what's working underneath the hood. I can't really explain why I love gas powered engines but if you're a true gear head you know what I'm trying to say...

Again, their are tones of sports cars out their, 2 or 3 are hybrids right now, y change it... Make the rest of ur cars hybrids and leave one ( ur sports car) alone... If all other sports cars aren't hybrids, people won't buy this, or at least not as many as if it weren't a hybrid!!
Because they are smart and see that works isnt the same as it was back when supras were in production
So why in the world would they want to take such a good looking car, give it an iconic name, and they making it a f**king hybrid!?
Later this week I'll be able to test drive the GS is Seoul, Daechi dealership. Pretty excited, looks much better in person.
They don't sell the concept cars there. They built the showroom/dealership to bring out innovation. My friend told sometimes they let special guest test drive new models, like the new Lexus GS before it entered the market.

@Brandon. The Toyota tech display store on Champs-Élysées, Paris has concepts all the time. I was there two almost two years ago and saw some other off the wall concepts. Wish I had seen something like this one.

Mechanically speaking toyotas are great. But look wise they are a little dull. You buy one cause you don't wanna see your local mechanic more often than your own grandma. Not because you want to be thrilled. They need to work on the looks.
