Agreed Austin. The manual transmission in the CX-5 is based of the MX-5's. It's as close as you're going to get in a small crossover.
The mx5 has one of the best manual transmissions you can get, why would you buy an automatic. If you can't drive a stick, get something else.
It's considered one the the best handling cars since its debut in the 90's. Good enough reason for me to get one. Maybe a Mazdaspeed version.
