Fisker EV Hybrids Green Auto Shows Production 2012 Paris Motor Show

Fisker is heading to the Paris Auto Salon in September with their production-ready Surf Wagon.

Fisker is brushing all the bad press they have received lately off their shoulders in preparation for the 2012 Paris Auto Salon. The Fisker Surf Wagon Concept that debuted at last year's Frankfurt Motor Show will receive a production version for this year's biannual show in France. The Surf Wagon/Shooting Brake design allows for a luxury four-door hybrid with ample storage space. The Surf runs on the Karma's battery-electric drivetrain paired with a 2.0-liter turbo 4-cylinder which acts like a generator.

The combination is good for a 300-mile range and with the batteries alone, you can travel a solid 50 miles. The Fisker Surf Wagon will debut in production form at the 2012 Paris Auto Salon in September and sales are expected to begin towards the end of this year or early next.
