Brain the LFA had the roll cage and the works. Still slower than the regular ACR lol
To be honest I'm a diehard dodge fan to the core but it would be awesome to see the big three go at it again like they did in the 60's and 70's but with today's modern twist. Not just straight line speed but taking some corners.

I don't think Honda will phase out the manual since Honda is one of the few manufactures that offers a manual in almost all their cars as an option.
it sucks, but manual cars r gonna be phased out soon, at least for the main car companies like Ford n Honda etc....I bet the high end.companies will still have them, but even then it'll be phased out into paddle shutters....

I dunno one thing about comparing the GTR to the ACR is that the GTR was running run flats while the ACR is running R compound tires... would be interesting to see how much the GTR's time would improve with R compounds

When will people realize that speed is not the only thing that makes a car great? I consider the merc c class to be on of the greatest cars of all time because of its innovative technology.
I would pick a gtr over this any day. You get a trunk, gps, ac, radio, two seats. Both are super fast for low money.

Matt the street legal Acr is still way faster than the gtr. Way faster. And here in the states they are within 10k of each other cost. So suck it. Gtr is good this is better

That's fast but this car is getting into that grey area of production class I mean yea it is a production car but is this honestly something u would wana drive everyday with it's hard racing suspension and what not to me production a production car

I think your right Mario and I think in japan you have to get a different license for the power level of the car like say you do with a motorcycle here in my state like you have to have a license for say a 300-800 and than another for 800 and up
Exactly 23 seconds faster then the stock zr1 . 7.03 is pretty darn quick
The actual output was speculated to be around 330 while the NSX was closer to 290 and so on with the RX7. I do believe American car companies did the same in the 60s and the 70s with the pony cars.
@ Dan I completely agree with you on all counts the civic was a bad example, I should have said S2000 or a car with a better setup not FWD. Lol The official rating was 276, same as the RX7, NSX of the same era. I think it was a gentlemans agreement
Also I was saying 1000 hp civic wouldn't be competive because the only way to make that work would essentially not even be a civic any more. things like (widening/lengthing body probably would have to make tube frame just handle the stress
R34 official hp is 276. I was saying to compare this particular viper to i GTR is irrelevant because one's a race car and the other is a street I'm not saying the ACR isn't faster or that the GTR is better
@dan rather, the Acr is still faster than the gtr, and just cause this is an acrx doesn't mean this video means nothing. Its about a viper not a gtr so it means a lot actually
The GTR from the other day was a r34 that came stock with 330hp. The civic reference was just an example that 1000 hp could make a massive difference in vehicle dynamics when done properly.
And it did it on only five gears. If the gearbox had been geared for this track so he could've used all six gears the time would've been faster. Love the Viper.
don't rip on tt v6 xj 220 Porsche 959 both fastest stock street cars at one point. gts owns my heart and the srt broke it. but thanks for putting American muscle back on top, gotta love it.
With buckets of horsepower what is tricky is making a 500-650hp car than can do everything the 1000hp cars can and more...
I'm an absolute GT-R fanboy but I've always had a softspot for the Viper and although only tiny amounts of these cars will be made and they probably won't be road legal it's great to see the track dominated by lower BHP cars its easy to make a car...
Regardless this video means nothing because the GTR is street legal and the ACR-X is a purpose built race car not to be confused with the ACR.
I like both because they both offer great levels of performance at much lower price than most other cars with equal performance
Im not a gtr fan at all because it ruined some supercars and imo this is in another class because look at the engine size its a v10 vs a twin turbo v6 no comparison. but this show how americans get down when asked

Usually when people talk about the GTR they are referring to the current generation. Otherwise they say R34,R33,R32... Etc

@Mario what are you talking about. A 1000hp civic could never be competition because you could make it handle or overcome the torque steer. The GTR has like 520 not 330 hp btw.
Idk guys 1000hp can transform civics into real competition let alone a GTR that is already crazy fast with 330hp.
Wait Brady do you think the GTR has a V8? The hardest think about the ACR to tune is the AERO and the suspension because they have to change it for every track.

This viper and the GTR are not in the same class I have more respect for the viper than the vette it takes a lot more skill and precision to make a v10 fast a v8 is a dual easy motor to tune this viper is pure race car which I want to see on the road
