This new GT3 is going to be a track monster. If the 991 "S" matches the old GT3 on The 'Ring, imagine what this new one will do! On thing is for sure, it will make the old GT3 one of the best values on the used sports car market.
I still wish they'd update the headlights like they did with the new boxer spyder
If you look closely, Carlos, you'll see those are only decals to make it look like a Turbo.
@Bob A 'wing' is a rear spoiler. If you're a Brit, like me, a wing is also what Americans would call a fender.
Before I went on this article, I thought to myself they'd better not cover up the car with fake stuff to disguise it since we already saw the 911. Thankfully they had the same idea!
A GT3 isn't a GT3 without a huge rear wing. Also as history has shown us, the rear wing on the forthcoming GT3 RS will be even bigger than the 'regular' GT3.
With the new wider front track and longer wheelbase it may not get the big wing, though I can't imagine a GT3 without it.
If you had read the article, it said this prototype was caught "sans wing" or without it. So it will have the large wing

I agree with you. THE GT3 is for those drivers who goes to track days and so, so the pdk is what matters. If you want to cruise on a mountain road, that's where the manual is better. Any other version will do the job more than you'll need.
Guys, then your car is the 991 "S", fun as hell, 6-speed avail (no charge) and is fast. Will get you/us to our destination perfectly. You just are not GT3 clients. No biggie, that's why they make different models.

I don't really care if it's 3/10th of a second faster, a real stick shift is fun to drive. I'd rather have fun than get to my destination 2 seconds faster
I dont see why people fight change so much... Paddle shifters were developed for use in F1. What about that says "slow" or "bad"? Humans are creatures of habit and sometimes it really hurts them.
Agreed Mark. I love the interaction of a manual, but I would rather have faster lap times.
For the SERIOUS track person every tenth of a second counts, and the PDK is faster...
It sucks but not many people are getting manual. Around 25-30%. I geuss they are going by majority.

Please Porsche, leave the manual, even if it's an expensive option. The manual was what made all previous GT3s and RSs great and different from their competitors. As good as flappy paddles are, there's nothing like manually changing gear yourself.
