I've got the srt 8 oraaange and black of this its a beast and I wouldn't trade it in for any car in the same class
The 6 is really quite impressive. Yeah I'm not going to win against a mustang or camaro, but it's more comfortable to ride in and still has 305hp! Plus it is a head turner. Only complaint is the lack of a 6 speed...

@Brian yeah, everybody is running around waving their arms whining about the weight, I've drove my buddy's and it felt fine. The only time I really felt any plowing was taking a corner way faster than any reasonable person would in a full-size car
I'd rather see a 2-door version of the new Charger with a retro grill. They never shoulda killed Plymouth. SRT needs to worry more about super charging the 6.4 than designing a new 'cuda. If they are gonna do it do it right.

Put the new Viper's power plant in the Challenger as a limited production run so they can send it out with a bang.

The LY platform is only used in the challenger. The 300 and charger both use the LX platform. Simple mistake :)
There is a nice tail light over lay that goes over the dodge logo, like a black rectangle. Separates the lights, give it a much better look. And the charger lights look closer to the older ones. Challengers in the 70's wasnt the same. Both look good

I think Impalas are pretty underrated too. Hell there was one on Craigslist earlier this week, had the original 350, body was in good shape. Sold it for 5 grand

Well, depends on condition, year and what's in it of course. You cam still get some pretty good deals though. I have seen a few '71 and '72 for sale in decent shape with a running 350 motor for 6k.
How much do one of those novas run for? I've been looking at those recently.
My friends Nova has a 383 and on cam2 is making 1700hp. Hell, even my Nova which also has a 383 is making a little under 600hp on pump gas. You can't compare a stock motor from 1970 with a 200,000$+ modern day super car
But that is only if you can drive a real manual. No finger flickers and crap.
The only Europeans that like torque like we do is the Germans and our friends at Mercedes Benz. The others don't understand. You European dudes can come drive my car and see what its like and why we like it.

It's all about when that HP is available. Us Americans want the power and torque to be there instantly and through the whole RPM range. It's all in the history and heritage. Two different styles, each has it's ups and downs. To each there own.
Also, look WHEN the engines your comparing were made. A 1970 454 isn't directly comparable to a $200,000 brand new Ferrari.

That's stock buddy. Twin turbo 572s will run 2000hp all day long. Also, look at the price. 500 American horsepower is about twice as cheap as Italian horsepower. And don't try to tell me it's twice as good, it just isn't.
Yeah but remember the Italian car has everything 'aftermarket' (the best of the best) in it like the intake exhaust ect ect...
What irritates me about US cars is they have massive cylinders but relatively low HP. Exaggerated example....7.2L = 450 hp (USA) - 3.2L 500 hp (Italian) not real numbers, but u get my meaning.
@Patrick the original Cuda was several inches shorter than the original Challenger, so it would make a little sense to rename if downsizing a bit. Plus, way more design opportunities because of the body lines for future generations.
And bringing the 440 back would be awesome!
