No question I'd take the M5 outta those two. Either is just fine as a DD though, I wouldn't have it any other way. I don't spend my money on fun cars to have them sit in my garage six days a week. I DD'd my Elise and do the same currently with my Vette. For the odd days I need something else that's what Hertz and or the gfs car is for!

@Mike, Do your research, both cars are DESIGN for everyday driving and track use. They just have a lot of power on tap if you ever need it for street driving. It's all in the right foot buddy.

Neither cars are everyday vehicles... An everyday vehicle does not have over 500 hp like the m5. It can be used alot more efficiently but not practical. What will happen to engine power as the years pass? Keep on increasing?

I agree with no pistons on that. It's just a feeling you get from driving it, I've driven the gtr too. And yeah its pretty cool. But there is something special missing. When I see one on the road I don't even flinch. I'd flinch more if i saw an r34 or r33 gtr. Just saying, in my eyes there isn't any spark with it.

Car not just cut the driver out. It all is about feel and really and hard to explain, I guess the best way to state it is with the 458 you really dont know about the comps correcting your mistakes but with the GTR you do. Very vague I know lol

@pablo From my experience of driving the cars, (only done 4 laps in 458) with the GTR it feels like the comps are aiding the car and on at all times, it's not subtle with the systems. The 458 feel like the aids are there to help you to control the..

I'm not precisely on anyone's side but I will say the gt-r is one heck of a car and has the performance to show for it. But... There's just so many damn computers driving the car, and it does everything for you which sucks if your a driving purist. Well made car, but honestly... boring. Just my 2 cents I'd rather be driving the car than be driven by bunch of computers calculating every single mov...

20 awards from 2007 to present. A half a second slower then a gallardo do to rev limiter at isle of man yet faster then the r8, faster then a 911, M3, and r8 at rockingram(spelt the track wrong) and a second faster then an M3 and 911 at autodome..

Yeah agreed. GTR's 0-60 is more impressive than almost anything, handling better than almost anything, amazing track car, relatively easy to use as a daily driver as well, and it's cheap compared to other supercars. Don't know how anyone can say it's crap besides the 0-60 time.

The gtr is a very good car..its really is..but in my opinion the m5 is better..i prefer it because its a family salon..its much more comfortable..and it looks great..in the other hand the gtr dont look good..and dont forget that its bmw vs nissan !!
