Hennessey Venom GT Blasts Off

Hennessey proves that a small Texas-based company can build and engineer a supercar capable of running with the likes of the Bugatti Veyron.

They say everything is bigger (and better) in Texas, and if you know anything about Hennessey Performance, you'll be fully aware that the Lone Star State-based tuning company has never been shy about going all-out in regards to ultimate performance. Aside from its fine lineup of supercharged tuning kits for American favorites such as the Ford GT and F-150 Raptor, and GM machines like the Chevy Camaro and Cadillac CTS-V, Hennessey has built its own 1,200 horsepower supercar called the Venom GT.

Designed to compete with the likes of the Bugatti Veyron and Koenigsegg Agera, the question many have wondered is how fast it really is. Today we have our answer courtesy of John Hennessey's personal Venom GT. After watching the following video of it taking off down the tarmac, you'll see its actual performance times.
