Holy crap Carbuzz, starting this list off with one (of many) of the coolest vans to ever be made. Awd, S/C, what more could you want?
I had a silver 1985 Toyota Van (yes, its model name was Van). It was fun to drive, and to camp with, but having the front wheels steer just beneath (or slightly behind you) was a strange feeling.

They weren't terrible vehicles, but I've come to despise them. They're frighteningly plentiful here in L.A., all plodding along at a glacial pace with a distracted Mexican mother or flustered Asian father behind the wheel. Simply stating the truth.
The supercharged ones had problems, but the N/A ones run pretty good from what i heard my uncle say. My opinion though-its a POS!

They were great vans, not the best looking but did the job without problems, u don't have to rip out the interior, u just unbolt the front seats and pull back the carpet, like removing a splash guard or skid plate under a vehicle to do an oil change
If anyone remembers this was GMs 2nd design choice behind what they built - the dust buster vans. They showed a bubble van. Functionality wise this makes a lot of sense. Anyone who owned one loved it.
I've heard these are hard to work on, because you have to rip out the interior even for simple fixes like changing out spark plugs.
I had to change the oil in one of these before. Took me a half hour to find the filter. It's under the driver's seat!

I totally disagree. This is Walter White's vehicle -- the badass blue meth cooker from the T.V. show Breaking Bad. Every time I see one I think of Breaking Bad.
I grew up with my moms Aztec and I love it. It was an 04 and it still runs great. It has tons of room and was comfortable too. We've also never worried whether or not the car was gonna start because of how well it's done.
Really Pontiac? You went out on a limb for this thing, yet was conservative with the GTO?
Everyone always uses the "but it's practical!" defense, but when I had to drive one for a few days I found visibility out the sides and rear to be terrible and parallel parking was a nightmare. That made it pretty darn impractical in my opinion.

Yea the 90's and early 2000 gm vehicles were plagued by instrument cluster problems, can't tell u how many I have swapped out
My friends mom had the Buick and it was really unreliable. Roughly every part of the dash was broken, no joke. The gauge cluster had to get fixed twice and one the last time, everything stopped working.
Just financial struggles at forced the hand of what they thought was a smart move, in all honesty I think it should have been GMC or Buick to get canned, gm only makes trucks,and why does gm really need 3 luxury brands?
No Pontiac was killed off because gm wasn't gonna close down cadi, GMC or Buick, Pontiac was deemed the smart choice cause all there current vehicle were available as a Chevy and the gto and g8 while great cars just weren't selling as well as gm wanted... taking chances aren't what killed pontiac
And now they are dead which is sad cause the gto judge was the most badass car out there
I didn't hate this thing when it came out. At least Pontiac rolled some dice and showed some balls by taking chances. That's to be commended.

It's embarrassing because the Compass had a Jeep badge but terrible offload capabilities. The styling is fine.

Styling isn't bad, but the Jeep name really doesn't need a grocery-getter vehicle to survive. The Caliber it's based off of isn't any better either.

It might look funny but its actually a good car. None of these other cars are quality. It's essentially an Accord with a little more versatility.
Honda execs have form in this - later model Preludes lost their mojo, as has the latest Euro-Civic: a sleekmobile turned into Miss Ugly, without addressing any of the ergonomic issues.
It seems that people like Jack are on this app for roughly two weeks and then suddenly they're gone. Does Carbuzz ever ban people?
They should've gone with wagon/touring styling. I agree that some people want a car that gets them from A to B, but a touring style could've done it with more space and probably better gas mileage too.

I've got a 2012 crosstour and its fantastic. It's so smooth and refined for its class! Nicer than most Mercedes/BMW etc. the first year they came out they were an odd branch off Accord but now they're separate and great

This is probably my favorite recent Honda. I really like these when I see them in person. They actually look decently sized and I see them often in ski towns.

Offers the best and most powerful engine here. Plus sounds the nicest. Can't be the J-Series V6.

I test drove one of these.. It wasnt bad.. Definitely not a looker.. Why cudnt they picked either a crossover or a touring.. Why mix it and get the worst of both worlds..

I recently purchased a crosstour. Definitely not based on looks. However I do enjoy the responsive handling and the 192 horse inline four. I wish they would have gone with a wagon style car ride heightmore than a jeep eagle wanna be cross over thing

It's like there was an argument about the roof line when they were building it so they went with both roof lines.

I think what happened here is the designer recreated a Prius completely from someone else's description, then tried to turn it into a wagon to cover up the mistakes they made.
