I like the fact that I can drive forever in Horizon and not see the same thing. But the competition aspect and physics of FM4 are crazy better.
You shouldn't be comparing horizon to all the other FM racing simulator games, they are completely different. You can however compare it to NFS but trust me after playing Horizon for quite a while now it absolutely crushes NFS. Don't get Nfs cause

Oh boy more cars from Forza 4. The only 1 that is brand new is the Cadillac. Even the LFA and Lotus are essentially clones of cars in Forza 4.
This Horizons will never be on my game shelf... If I wanted that I'd get need for speed.
I have been playing Forza for 8 years now (no shit) after playing years of GT2-GT4, and I can say this... Forza 4 is still king in my eyes, if you want a TRUE driving sim (GT5 is a race sim and sucks) the. FM4 is what you need. Thanks Turn10!

sometimes I just drive around in free roam for hours on end. The only things that disappointment are the DLC packs. Many are too expensive, and because I did not buy the ~$40 season pass, I do not get two of the cars. The games are distinct ....
I actually think that the more "arcade" feel to Forza Horizon is a nice touch. I can always go back to Forza Motorsport 4 if I want a simulator, legitimate tracks, and a huge car selection. The landscape of Forza Horizon is so beautiful that ....

And for Horizon. Why are people comparing it to FM4? It's not meant to be a simulator. Horizon beat NFS at its own game. The cars feel very real when all the assists are off. And the physics are far better than any NFS where it's all about sliding all over the place.
I prefer Forza. It's got a much more fun vibe than GT. The tuning is excellent, and I love the cars. There may be less cars, but I feel like it has more of a variety compared to GT5. And I prefer the cars to sound like cars.
GT5 is kinda boring compared to FM4 but GT5 has more cars and feels more realistic
Horizon is a game to reach out to the casual racers. I have F2/3/4 and love them all. But was a gt player on ps/ps2, and had to jump ship when I got a 360. Horizon fits a different bill, midnight club 3 anyone? I think it did what it was supposed too
After having FM since day one.. at this point I would have got a ps3 and gt5 instead just because of the shitty track selection in FM... driving physics wise and over all expierence I vote FM.. but gt5 is worth it just for the vast variety of cars and tracks compared to forza
Mike Perry: This is made by Playground Games. While it uses many things that T10 has given then, it is NOT part of the franchise, nor is it, or has it ever been called a simulator. "Action-Racer" is what they call it.
Adam: Forza Motorsport 4 is what you wanna look at; not Horizon. FM4 blows GT5 out of the water in nearly every category.
I've never played forza, always more of a GT man. But after the stupidity that was GT5 I wanted to branch out. Is forza as good as GT5 for the driving aspect?
Horizon is a travesty to the franchise. It's a cheap Need For Speed rip off, and isn't the racing simulator that forza is supposed to be at all. I was sorely disappointed in this one,

I played horizon today. I was disappointed. I thought it was an awesome open-world Forza but it felt like I was playing NFS or some other shitty arcade racer.
I can't believe they put the Delta S4 in this great rally car but so short lived.

Its heavier, makes less power and doesn't handle anywhere in the level of the 12c.... its a great car but just a different league... course u show me a video of the stang winning and I'll believe
With that being said, Mclaren is still one of my favorite brands ever.
A modded Stang would compete with a Mclaren; it would dominate it in all aspects except for the "I have a Mclaren and you have a Mustang" aspect. The 2012 Boss 302 that is in storage for the winter would probably crush a Mclaren.
I didn't realize these things only had 300 horsepower. My buddy had one in high school and it was extremely fast.
Comes down to the driver/rider anyways. I've been in a shitbox mk1 16v gti that left an s2000, wrx, and a rx7 for broke rippin thru the tail of the dragon. And all those cars were done up nicely too.

A mustang will never be able to beat a McLaren in anything other then the 1/4. Unless your actually talking about in the game sure any things possible then.. but IRL mustang can't compete with a McLaren off the strip... I do agree when done rite mustangs make a great noise
I'm partial to mod motor stangs myself, as great as the Windsor is bang for the buck it limited rpm range, held it back. I love my cobra. The 4v loves to rev and the IRS is def a plus.
@Oren, my thoughts exactly. It's sad how so many people down stangs. Most have never even driven one, or have only experienced v6 versions. Countless stangs have been successfully raced all over the world. And not just in the 1/4 mile
Mid to late '90s Mustangs will always be associated as "My First Sports Car" to me, just because every spoiled kid in high school had a V6 automatic 'Stang back then.
Its an escalade.. that's short for heavy as hell... they can weight up to 7400lbs depending on the model and the lowest is just shy of 6000lbs
Yeah I want some chrome body kits for this. Then I'll put some huge Lexani or DUB rims on it.
