It's being reported that GM will auction off the very first production-ready C7 Vette to roll off the Bowling
Green assembly line, mirroring a move made by
Chrysler's
SRT, which sold the first Viper GTS at auction for $300,000 - a whopping $200k over list price. Proceeds of the sale will be donated to charity, so if you're keen to own a piece of future history whilst doing some good at the same time, register for the auction online. The Scottsdale 2013 auction is taking place on January 19 at 8.30 p.m. By then we would have already seen the brand-new Vette at the Detroit Auto Show, where Chevy will unveil it on January 13, a day before the big show opens its doors to the press.
