European-spec 500S takes the Cinquecento into sportier territory to bridge the gap between the standard model and the Abarth performance version.
Buyers looking at the Fiat 500 can go for the stock model, or those looking for something sportier can opt for the Abarth version. But those seeking something in between may be interested in the new 500S. The extra letter doesn't (like the 500C or 500L) connote a different body style, but rather a sport pack for the existing one. It's aimed at a younger audience, and includes new alloys, rear spoiler, side skirts, bumpers, tinted glass and dark chrome trim.

Inside the 500S is characterized by sportier bucket seats, steering wheel and shift knob, all with red stitching, 500S logos and matte silver dashboard trim. The package can be specified by European buyers on any of a range of engines offered in the Fiat 500, but unlike the US-spec 500 Turbo, doesn't include a more powerful engine spec.
