Why don't companies return cars but in exactly the same way they had looked before. Some may disagree but take the Buick GNX for example. Personally I think the shape has to be one of the greatest. Just produce the shape again but with a more modern but powerful engine.
Haha I remember when I first got my s13. Had the spoiler taken off and resprayed. Easily the cleanest 240 in town now its a beat up track vet with scars from street drifting.

S13 is still my favorite jap econo car. I wish they would make clean fastbacks like this again. I would say Nissan got a timeless design in this one
Not a fan of too many 4cyl but I looove when I hear a Subaru go by. Maybe a nice big blow off. You can hear a Subaru coming, and they just sound so good. I doubt too many people will disagree.

My buddy has one. Took it completely apart. Put it all back together with new parts. Still looks original, other than updated suspension and has the original motor. It hails ass.
Now this one I would drive. Not riced out. Just looks normal and somewhat cool

Its only the US market that had the 2.4NA engine and the "240sx" name, the rest of the world had the real stuff! 200sx with a 1.8 turbo for the '88 gen, and 2.0 turbo from the s14 and out. The jdm had 180sx for the '88 as its model name

They will most likely use the QR25 from the Sentra Spec V. They revamped that motor raised the compression and rev limiter and now the Spec is dropped. They need a car for that motor. 200hp and almost matching torque loves boost and can make 200 whp

Ben, the front bar has been replaced to allow more airflow to the intercooler. The car has been stripped to make it lighter, the wheels are wider than Oprah for a reason also. A "show" car will generally be something you see with TVs and subwoofers.
If this were set up purely for driving it would have much more meat on those tires. This seems to be a show car to me

People are so quick to throw out the rice word. I think drifters color their wheels in spite of haters.
Some people hang little toys off of their rear bumper to let people know that they are willing to race. I think it just looks dumb though.

Comming from the RWD world, what really pisses me off and I still don't understand are the god damn things that people dangle off the real bumper. I don't mind neon wheels on the back for track events but
It's just an OEM 350 wheels with junk tires on them. He's just doing it for fun.
Never understood the reason behind that. Take what was a decent wheel and paint it neon pink or green.
@matt, the V6 mustang has 305 HP. Yeah it weighs 800 lbs more. You can turbo the mustang and the GT-86 for about the same price and you'd still have a faster mustang. The stock mustang will do the 1/4 mile in 14.0 flat.

Yea Shelby, that's a totally irrelevant comparison.. If u were compositing this with a v6 mustang, that's actually in this cars price range, this thing would smoke it... And I'd rather have this over a gt or as too, it's just more enjoyable
you guys do realize this car is a compromise, albeit a good one. not bashing, just saying that they designed it specifically to be a performance bargain. 200 Hp is adequate, but they did that in order to keep costs down (and direct competition)
All of you are ridiculous it's had perfect power weight ratio. It cast around 26-27k. What more can you Ask for, a v6/I6 or a v8 come on now. U want performance? Aftermarket parts!!!!!! Enough said!!!!
Everyone knows you can get a nice car used for 25G, but for 25G not everybody wants to spend their money on a used car.
At first I wasn't a believer, but after seeing some reviews I changed my mind. Top gear bashes a lot of non European cars. So I was definitely surprised to see what they said about this car.
Power isn't everything, and we all know driving a slow car fast is more fun than driving a fast car at the same pace. It's all about pushing the limits that makes driving exciting

@shelby. I agree with you 100%. This is very slow compared to the Boss 302 even stock. Buuuut if someone only has 25G to spend on a car and not 48G then they are gonna go with this. I like this car a little. But I like the Boss a lot.
This car is not only slow on paper. I would love to see anyone drive my Mustang and then call this a fast car. Granted, my Stang is pushing almost 600 rwhp, but come on. Don't exaggerate the truth. I've driven the BRZ and it's fun to drive, but slow.
Daily driver. Meanwhile surprising some other cars on the street. I like this car and I love the fact that its a little hardtop 2 door that's RWD!... It will slide.
For close 300 hp, you'll have to shell out for the BRZ STI. Or buy a Toyota/scion, drive it for a little while till aftermarket parts become available. Then drop a little coin into it. Maybe turbo it. Then you'll have a fun, reliable car that you can

Seriously if u have ever driven the car you would know while on paper it seems underpower, but when your driving u can't even notice it, power feels strong and smooth. And yes this car is a blast to drive, by time were done paying off the koup gonna look for a used one.. hopefully find a Brz at a decent price
@tyler, it's just a fun car to drive. It's nimble and lacking in power compared to other cars. But it's the perfect amount for its package. HP to weight ratio, and they made it handle pretty good.
I can't get over the power. It's just way too insufficient for me. Once you go over 300hp, it's hard to downgrade.
Really really starting to like this car. I'm starting to care less and less about its lack of power
Yea have u seen the 370's interior? I've driven one and it's interior was very comfortable, very roomy, felt luxurious not to mention how fun it was to drive! And the interior is even enter when u look at what the competition is offering ss, gt, etc
To preface I loved and owned several s13's and a 350z. That being said Nissan sports cars have always been built like crap with trash interiors. I think the fit and finish will keep the toyobus the better choice. Unless the styling sells the car
The Broz isn't the exact same as the FRS/gt86.. there are differences the front bumper and lights, and different rebound settings on the suspension
I actually personally know one of the six men on the design team for the new z car. And the only thing I can tell you, the 240sx is a cover. The new thing will be so much more jaw dropping.

Except Kawasaki did the over haul of the zx10r in 2008, s1000rr didn't come about till 2009, so they had no affect on kawi improving the zx10.. and it would only receive minor updates until 2012 when it received Kawasaki's newley developed TCS
@william BMW released the s1000rr(which was awesome) and then Kawisaki remodeled the zx-10r to better compete

No the 14 was out long before the BMW and isn't even its competitor, and the zx-10 has been out since 2004.. and they haven't released any other racing bike that's why I was asking

I love how as enthusiast we have so many viable options nowadays. Completion brings out the best in companies. Just like BMW turning the superbike world on its ear and forcing Kawasaki to unleash a monster of bike. ( yeah I'm a lil biased) lol.
