Chris Harris Loves His Hot Hatches
New Focus ST takes on the Megane RS and Astra VXR on road and track.
There's still plenty of love for the hot hatch in the UK, as well as an abundance of rain and enviable driving roads. Three of the leading contenders on the market today are the Ford Focus ST, Renaultsport Megane RS and Vauxhall Astra VXR, so you shouldn't be overly surprised to find Chris Harris has chosen this trio for his latest hot-hatch comparison video. The scribe/host known as Monkey starts off by driving (and jumping) the front-wheel drive hatches around twisting, rolling country roads in Wales before unleashing them on the track.
There's plenty to admire about all three cars: the Megane RS is a precision driving instrument on the circuit, the Focus ST a perfect blend of naughty and nice, and the new VXR rapid and stylish. Like offspring, Harris loves all of them in their own way, but at the end of the day, of course, he also has his favorite.
