MT Takes Panamera GTS for a Spin

The Porsche Panamera GTS is big, powerful and extremely expensive, but it's one of the best all-around performance luxury sedans on the market.

Despite its often-criticized exterior styling, the Porsche Panamera is still an incredible machine. When ordered with the GTS package, the big sedan becomes even more special due to a sportier dynamic that provides drivers one of the best driving experiences they'll ever have in a four-door. In this new episode of Ignition, Motor Trend's Carlos Lago gets behind the wheel of a $146,000 Panamera GTS and takes it for a drive through some thrilling mountain roads.

Powered by a 4.8-liter V8 that churns out 430 horsepower, this super sedan is described here as "the Swiss army knife of driving" due to its daily drivability. Lago claims it's hard to find a car "that's more complete", and we have to admit that, despite its looks, the Panamera GTS is a true masterpiece of German engineering.
