Maserati GranCabrio by DMC and SR

Maserati convertible looks the business in matte orange with upgrades galore.

Just the other day we brought you a Maserati GranTurismo modified by SR Auto Group. Now the Canadian customizer has teamed up with German tuner DMC to transform a GranTurismo convertible, giving the open-top Maser an engine boost, suspension upgrades, new rims and several carbon-fiber parts. DMC's Sovrano body kit gives the GT convertible a new look, all wrapped up in matte orange. A new designed front bumper and lip spoiler channel the new GranTurismo MC for a more aggressive look and improved aerodynamics.

Additional air inlets and outlets were added to the new lightweight hood, the widebody side skirts have zig-zag end-panels, while a trunk spoiler, rear diffuser and Kreissieg F1 Valvetronic exhaust system have been fitted at the rear. All add-on parts are made from carbon fiber and are manufactured by DMC using autoclave prepreg vacuum processing. A sport suspension courtesy of H&R was then installed for the front and rear axles, lowering the vehicle's center of gravity by around 30 mm. Contact to the tarmac is made by 20-inch front and 21-inch rear PUR 1NE Monoblock alloys finished in gloss black with orange outer lip.

Under the hood, the 4.7 liter V8 gets a supercharger driven by a cogged-tooth belt. The result is an additional 150 horsepower and 61 pound-feet of torque for a total of 590 hp and 348 lb-ft. DMC enhanced the open cockpit with checkered-stitch leather and plenty of carbon fiber. The aluminum pedals and new ergonomically-designed sports steering wheel complete the interior enhancements.
