Kia Releases Five Justice League Editions at SEMA

Joining the Batman Optima are the Flash edition Forte Koup, Cyborg Forte, Aquaman Rio and Green Lantern Soul in a collaborative effort between DC Comics and Kia at the SEMA show.

A couple of weeks ago we brought you news and initial photos of a collaborative effort between DC Comics and Kia. But the resulting Batman edition Optima revealed in New York was just the first in a series of special editions designed after the members of the Justice League. The Batman Optima has now been joined by four more of its kind on display this week at the SEMA show in Las Vegas. Joining the Batman Optima are the Flash edition Forte Koup, Cyborg Forte, Aquaman Rio and Green Lantern Soul.

The Flash-inspired Forte Koup by West Coat Customs is airbrushed in red, orange and yellow. Fitted to the custom coilover suspension are 20-inch Asanti wheels, while the interior is decked out in black Nappa leather with red suede trim and yellow stitching, a black suede headliner and trim, plus a tricked-out audio system with dual video monitors. The Cyborg edition Forte was done up by Rides magazine with a coilover suspension, wide fenders, 18'' Rotiform wheels, hood scoop, red LEDs, silver paint and an interior upholstered in red perforated leather and suede. The interior packs a JL Audio sound system and a tablet computer in the center console.

The Aquaman-inspired Rio was also done by West Coast Customs with a gold, green and orange paintjob, custom fins, Oracle LED illumination and 20" Asanti wheels. The interior has been upholstered in green leather with yellow accents, a green suede headliner, Aquaman artwork in the trunk and custom sound system. Super Street magazine worked up the Green Lantern-inspired Kia Soul in black and neon green with green-tinted windows, 18-inch wheels, welded back doors, blacked-out headlights and an interior with a Green Lantern power battery, video display, and green and black leather upholstery and dashboard trim.

The Batman edition Optima SX Limited was also worked up by Rides magazine in tone-on-tone matte and gloss black, lowered coilover suspension, ground effects kit, Ksport brakes, 20" wheels, custom exhaust and a grille that took 40 hours to craft. Black leather and suede with yellow stitching swath the interior. The show cars seek to raise awareness of the hunger crisis in Africa through DC's "We Can Be Heroes" campaign.
