That's a horrible name for the car either way.
Matt Close Oct 30, 2012
Just annoyed at continuous miss information on a reputable
Aj White Oct 29, 2012
@Matt I think we all know that.
James McMahon Oct 29, 2012
I think its 43 inches
Matt Close Oct 29, 2012
Another article with miss information. The motor is from a Ford GT, the gt40 was the original ad was called that since it was 40inches tall, the new one that has the 5.4 is like 46 inches...
John Bryans Fontaine Nov 03, 2012
This has to be the most sensational Mustang ever. I'd venture that Jay Leno is in the process of negotiating to buy it now. Eckert should make more examples, including one, or more, in Dodge Viper Blue. And also in Ferrari Red. Also, if ever there was a Mustang which should be available as a die-cast model, and/or a Hot Wheel, this is it.
James Salaba Oct 30, 2012
Really nice concept! Looks like it meant to be!
John Atnip Oct 30, 2012
Nose of a Mustang, cab to a Challenger, and tail of a GT? Interesting concept. Not totally for it, but nice.
Tristan Calangi Ü Oct 30, 2012
is the engine from a ford gt?
Yasser Zahabi Oct 30, 2012
Something doesn't seem ... Ummm .. Natural? I dunno .. I should like it .. It's got Everything to like about it but I dunno :S
Brett Judy Oct 30, 2012
This is seriously so cool.
Brandon Bairian Oct 29, 2012
Production please
Phil Johnson Oct 29, 2012
Don't like the chopped top
Patrick Schalk Oct 29, 2012
I gotta say. I don't like it. I like the idea but there's just something not right about it.
Chris McCormick Oct 29, 2012
Ford gt in the back BA mustang in the front
Alex O'Brian Oct 29, 2012
God i love this car
David Parenti Oct 29, 2012
It is a kit car
Jordan Jackson Oct 29, 2012
@ Ryan: it's probably just a kit car gr40, so it's probably not a big deal
Luke Bergmann Oct 29, 2012
I LIKE 2012 mustangs but I LOVE 1969 mustangs
Roberto Alexander González Nieves Oct 29, 2012
Great car!! Just looks perfect!!
David Gray Oct 29, 2012
This is the new hotness. I would pay a lot to have this is my garage
Shelby Cassandra Oct 29, 2012
Pretty awesome!
Ryan Rainville Oct 29, 2012
40 I'd like it a lot more
Ryan Rainville Oct 29, 2012
It seems to me from reading the article that this is just a modded gt40 but why would you take a car that has so much racing heritage and turn it into something else now if this thing had a custom built frame and suspension and just the engine was gt
Skylar Drake Oct 29, 2012
Yep I'll give it a 6/10 looks wise, personally I would have went to a much more fastback style roof and trunk. The GT40 doesnt just doesn't look right. Front is great though.
Author Norman R. Colson Oct 29, 2012
The rims need to be more modern though
Brian Johnston Oct 29, 2012
This thing is awesome.
Author Norman R. Colson Oct 29, 2012
I would love to see this beast on the road!
Michael Riley Oct 29, 2012
I'm gonna go with ugly. Good concept and idea but ugly.
Greg Lewis Oct 29, 2012
I want to like it, but something's off to me.
Dillon Dixon Oct 29, 2012
This is brilliant! So very well executed!
Jordan Jackson Oct 29, 2012
Dude! I want one, they should hire this guy and make a production model, lol
Lou Guerrero Oct 29, 2012
That rear reminds of a GT40. This is cool.
David Parenti Oct 29, 2012
This has to be one of the coolest cars I've ever seen.
Description: Output is rated at 850 horsepower, and hundreds of man hours went into customizing the body and suspension. Check out the project build pictures and we'll hopefully learn more about the mighty Mu...

Michael Gallagher Oct 30, 2012
And maybe muscle vrs should be mid engined rwd. Can actaully put all the horses down to the ground. Good move. Haters going to hate.
Michael Gallagher Oct 30, 2012
This thing is a monster. I personally think it is amazing.
Matt Silva Oct 30, 2012
Definitely a Frankenstein car but I like it
Nikolai Nikolaevich Stankevich Oct 30, 2012
I'll take the orange GTO.
No Pistons Oct 29, 2012
Ya it's cooling
No Pistons Oct 29, 2012
Long pipe work for that though Hmmmm
No Pistons Oct 29, 2012
Due to the hood having louvers I would believe cooling
Patrick Schalk Oct 29, 2012
Haha oh. Probably just a big pile of nothin
Shelby Cassandra Oct 29, 2012
I meant the front hood Patrick. I can see the engine in the back.
Patrick Schalk Oct 29, 2012
Shelby it has Ford GT guts
William Downs Oct 29, 2012
Muscle cars must be front engine rwd
Shelby Cassandra Oct 29, 2012
Yeah I'm curious what is actually under the hood.
Patrick Schalk Oct 29, 2012
Hp isn't The factor. It's where the engine is.
Eric Anthony Oct 29, 2012
This isn't beyond muscle, there's ls7s out there pushing 900+ hp & are still considered muscle
Ahmed Barrasali Oct 29, 2012
More HPs means more instability, this is what we always faced with Mustangs !
Shelby Cassandra Oct 29, 2012
This is like beyond muscle. I bet this thing would tear up the track and the 1/4.
Author Norman R. Colson Oct 29, 2012
It looks like an Eleanor love child...
Aislin Cooper Oct 29, 2012
If that engine is in the back, that's a lot of space up front
Patrick Schalk Oct 29, 2012
Brian, muscle cars aren't mid engine.
David Justice Oct 29, 2012
Hope they put that slotted rear window cover that those Mach1 and Boss's had to complete the look.
Brian Johnston Oct 29, 2012
Muscle car= small car big engine. It's still a muscle car.
David Parenti Oct 29, 2012
It's mid engined. It's supposed to be a mustang bodied ford GT.
Boyd Boudreaux Oct 29, 2012
The bumper is not on
Jonathan David Sill Oct 29, 2012
Not front engined? Interesting. Certainly isn't a muscle car any more.
Alex Medvedev Oct 30, 2012
Needs better rims
Owen Tiernan Oct 29, 2012
I'd prefer different rims, some HRE S1's would be nice!
Alex Medvedev Oct 30, 2012
Looks like a toy
Jared Oaks Oct 29, 2012
The hood is vented for the radiators so no hood scoop
Andrew Palmer Oct 29, 2012
This thing is purty.
Shelby Cassandra Oct 29, 2012
A huge scoop like the boss 429's would be awesome.
Owen Tiernan Oct 29, 2012
Really interesting build
Jordan Jackson Oct 29, 2012
I was actually gonna say the exact opposite Jonathan, lol, I like it
Paul Dickey Oct 29, 2012
This thing is awesome.
Jonathan David Sill Oct 29, 2012
Not a fan of the hood...
Walter Robinson Oct 29, 2012
So, ah, what's under the hood?
Alex O'Brian Oct 29, 2012
It has a scary eyes
Adam Beiersdorfer Oct 29, 2012
They may running a few intercoolers, or radiators up front so that may help for the heat... But... Even I don't have much believe that's what it is... At least it's fairly unique...
David Parenti Oct 29, 2012
The grille came out a little 60's Camaro-ish.
Alex Renaud Oct 29, 2012
That blower is very impressive. .
Author Norman R. Colson Oct 29, 2012
Ooooooooohhhhhhh
Paul Dickey Oct 29, 2012
Thanks for restating the article.
James Salaba Oct 30, 2012
Nearly finish!! Ha ha!
