Focus ST Concepts Readied for SEMA

Ford has lifted the lid on five bespoke Focus ST hot-hatch concepts that are heading to SEMA 2012.
Ford has released a set of renderings and initial info of five tuned examples of its new Focus ST that are heading to SEMA at the end of the month. The modified Focus ST projects will join the quartet of 2013 Fusion concepts at the Blue Oval's Las Vegas booth. We kick off with Bojix Design's proposal, which sports a black and orange two-tone theme with carbon-fiber elements on the roof and hood. A body kit, bigger brakes and sports suspension represent the bulk of the mods.

The M&J Focus, boasting a Tangerine Scream paintjob with grey graphics, was developed in collaboration with Ford, Cosworth and Ford Racing, whom upped output from 252 to 330 horsepower and torque to around 295 pound-feet. Other enhancements include a vented hood, Cosworth wheels and tires, carbon-fiber accents, a larger rear wing and an upgraded Ford Racing suspension. The most dubious of the concepts is by Galpin Auto Sports, who describes its paint scheme as "eye-catching." A rally-inspired body kit, coilover springs, a big brake kit, methanol injection system and bright green wheels complete the package.
The Tanner Foust Racing Focus ST, created by the X-Games gold medalist himself, gets a Focus ST-R inspired body kit and a funky gray, red and black paint scheme. The Foust Focus also received a cold air intake, fully-adjustable front and rear suspension and Magnaflow exhaust. Bringing up the rear is the yellow and black Steeda Autosports Focus ST, which promises improved handling and a high-performance feel thanks to a Steeda G-Trac suspension, Brembo brakes and a 19-inch custom wheel and tire package.
