It's a matchup many have been waiting to see. Both the Porsche 911 Carrera S and the Nissan GT-R have their loyal followers and yet each one is unique in its own way. The GT-R is a front-engined, all-wheel drive supercar-killer while the 911 has always been famous for its butt-engined layout and standard rear-wheel-drive. In this latest episode of Motor Trend's Head to Head, host Carlos Lago gets behind the wheel of each car to point out their major differences - and their similarities.

Although each has its own engineering methodology, they both represent the evolution of the sports car due to their reliance on advanced electronics to aid performance and reduce lap times.
