Thanks Shane. Was @ Lexus today trying to swing a deal on a '12 IS F Sport and it just didn't click. I'm waiting for the ATS before I buy anything else. This might just be the car that brings me back to GM.

and just passed on an $8000 discount b/c I can't wait to see how a smaller, lighter, purpose built car will drive with the same V6 RWD power train in the CTS and Camaro. I may be wrong in 6 mos., but this car has tremendous potential.
Jaguars have poor reputations. German rides do NOT retain their values in leasing. Hence every MB and BMW lease requires $5000 down to absorb depreciation. I have 2010 Lexus and 2011 CTS now. Almost added 2012 CTS Coupe, then saw ATS. I'm waiting now
Try as you may, Cadillac but you will never compare with the European vehicles in image, quality (long term not short term) or even resale value.
I don't believe Cadillac is anywhere near the level of luxury in the European cars but I still the the caddy will outperform them in everyday
This car is a smaller version of the CTS. I would not be surprised if they try to stuff a LS engine in that engine bay within 2 years. ATS-V This would make perfect sense.

Agreed kevin a big car like that should be rwd or awd in a luxury line just for the driving dynamics of those drivetrains
I think the CTS-V is a M5 beater. Making the XTS a front driver was a bad choice, though. Torque steer was a bitch on the DTS.

Radical. SR8 is a production car. Viper came 4th and that was tested in 2011, the radical was tested in 2008 or 2009 when the nurburgring was actually longer than it is now.
Vic and the Viper ACR is still the fastest production car. I can't wait til the Venom GT hits the Ring.

Lol @ Vic, CTS-V wrecked any sedan until the new M5 that barely beat it and costs 45k more and looks worse inside and out. The only interior I have seen better out of those 3 is Audi but their sedans are slow. This ATS is interesting
Here's the facts. This is Cadillac's first try at the 'compact' sedan segment. First. Granted, they have some great competition to learn from but this entry is a GREAT one! I have a feeling the overall sales figures are going to put this in 3rd.

Same overall design as CTS, moved pipes inward. Corvette and CTS Coupe center mount, just a compromise.

I personally like the universal steering wheel, makes you feel like your caddy or you Chevy or even Holden, ect. Arnt alone, that they are all part of the big picture of GM. Hardcore symbolism when it is just cheaper for them but I still like it haha
Wonder how big that center console storage bin is? CTS not too roomy. Sounds silly, but storing iPod cable, car charger etc. you appreciate spacious design.
In my opinion it looks great, and I think that BMW interiors are boring and simple.

No Anthony. This is the subcompact class. This IS a 3 Series fighter. The XTS (which is bigger) is a 7 Series fighter. You need to learn some stuff kid.
Ya mb certainly has as of Late had more quality issues than cadillac. And both Cadillac and mb have amazing histories of innovation and progress more so than any other brands
The resale value of any luxury brand is horrible they depreciate before you even get it to your garage. Most are a dime a dozen anyway so the fact that they are easily available makes them less valuable also.

Cadillac, even as improved as they may be, the public will never look at them in comparison to a MB, BMW or even the Audi. This is why resale values on the Cadillac will never be in the same level as those brands.
Ford taurus,Its got more fuel efficiency more power and is just as luxurious, plus much more reliable.
