Simply I hoped this would be the new supra but unfortunately not they need to bring bak the supra best Toyota car ever made
Antonio Garabito Sep 16, 2011
Man I can't wait for this car to come out. One thing I'll do is take off those scion badges and replace it them with Toyota's.
David Morris Sep 15, 2011
How is this anything like a 370z?
Noah Hawks Sep 15, 2011
@Ty I was thinking the same thing it's pretty much just a 370z
Ty Piper Sep 15, 2011
Screw this, Toyota needs to make a new GT-1.... This seems like its just a tuned down 370z
Ray Lockhart Sep 14, 2011
I can't wait for it, but these concepts are starting to piss me off
Keaton Smith Sep 14, 2011
@Jhoan that's why you get HIDs 6k or 8k I would say
Alan Tan Sep 14, 2011
Man... Im gonna start saving for this baby... My second toyota sports... Nice..
Jhoan Koolin Delima Sep 14, 2011
Not feelin the LEDs tho
Kelvin Dao Sep 14, 2011
Foo, Scion belongs to Toyota.
Jovani Marcus Matos Sep 14, 2011
Anyone else notice it's sporting brembo's this time around
Jordan Smith Sep 14, 2011
Agreed. With these looks I would hate to see it become ricer.
Ken Madison Sep 14, 2011
This is the best looking Toyota ever. Too bad the performance won't match looks.
Michael Gallagher Sep 14, 2011
That's because nissan always has it right
Sebastian Grey Sep 14, 2011
Those aren't side vents, they're lights.
Chris Dimattia Sep 14, 2011
I think it's too busy. Lose those side vents please. Doubt they are needed to cool the 4 banger.
Duncan Gibson Sep 14, 2011
Way toned down from the old renderings
Phillip Fitchew Sep 14, 2011
And they still didn't fix that front fascia... It would be amongst the first things I swap out. For something less busy less busy with an air splitter and an air dam.
Josh Willes Sep 14, 2011
Back looks just like a 370z. But I do like the overall looks of the concept.
Description: The only difference? The new orange paint job. Although the new color looks great on the concept, we're simply too anxious to see the real deal. Scion, who will be selling the FT-86 as the FR-S i...

What do you have against scion Ken?
Danny Scott Sep 14, 2011
I like your idea Jaime but that would easily push the base price to well over 30k. I believe they want to keep the price in the low to mid 20k mark:
Jaime Murray Sep 14, 2011
C'mon !! You gotta throw in the twin turbo inline-6 like in the Supra!
Michael Gallagher Sep 14, 2011
STI? 0-60 under 5 seconds? Around the circuit, sure, could be quicker
Ken Madison Sep 14, 2011
Sports cars and subaru's.... Ha
Michael Gallagher Sep 14, 2011
Nvm. I was going to post more but hanged my mind. Do like the exterior, don't mess up interior, and hope it isn't a speed demon.. All the kids will be wanting this car
Michael Gallagher Sep 14, 2011
Pretty much convinced my girl girlfriend to get this car lol. Here parents wanted her to get something reliable (toyota) she likes sport cars (subaru) and her first at was almost a scion. So I told her about this. Hope ita as good as it looks BUT!
Phillip Fitchew Sep 14, 2011
It also opens the door for an AWD 86 due the great combination characteristics allowed by that engine. Though Toyota prolly wont do it and even if they did, Subie wouldn't be happy as the resulting car would be direct competition to the Impreza.
Phillip Fitchew Sep 14, 2011
Ahhhh... A 2L boxer. :) One of the things Im anticipating most about this car. I'm likely wrong but I don't think we've seen what one can do in an FR chassis(was the Porsche 944 a boxer?). It'll be interesting to see how they build around it.
Description: For now we'll have to settle for what've got, but Toyota has pretty much confirmed that the production version of the FT-86 will be unveiled this December at the Tokyo Auto Show.

I like it especially for a toyota haha
Michael Gallagher Sep 17, 2011
It's a Toyota. It isn't going to be mind blowing fast, or fast at all lol. Maybe once they see how is sells they will make a racing edition or trim
Hector Delgado Sep 17, 2011
Or turn it into a " sport hybrid "
Duncan Gibson Sep 15, 2011
I hope they don't tone it down
Ken Madison Sep 14, 2011
It's pretty easy to make a car that looked better than a 370Z
Spencer Borg Sep 14, 2011
Toning this down would be an insult lol
Jonathan Tjandra Sep 14, 2011
Looks faster than a gtr Haha
Blaire Quattro Sep 14, 2011
Okay. " they need to tone it down" .... Production release: "toyotas are always so bland" , car looks fine, best design Toyota has had in a while atleast -_- and the tuning markets gonna have fun with this one as its purposely built to be tuned ;)
Cody Jacques Sep 14, 2011
It's comptiton for the 370z. Why you do think it should be toned down? this thing is sweet. its hard to make a car that looks as cool as a 370z
Sebastian Grey Sep 14, 2011
Why would they need to tone it down. People always complain production cars don't look as cool as their concept counterparts and if this is produced this way then it would be awesome.
Phillip Fitchew Sep 14, 2011
Front fascia doesn't look so bad here. They still really need to tone it down, though. Badly.
