Description: Considered one of the better career springboards for aspiring Formula 1 drivers, Formula Ford Championships around the world are already eyeing the 2012 season. For this season, Ford has introduced a ...Add Comments7
Brad WoodSep 14, 2011 This level of racing is about squeezing every tenth out of a car/chassis. That's how you find the best drivers to put in the $1m cars. no need for 400 HP for that. Plus, it is affordable both to purchase (cheap part) and to operate (not cheap part!)
Shane GardnerSep 14, 2011 I honestly don't even mind using the EcoBoost.
Ken MadisonSep 14, 2011 I am just getting tired of all this green BS, it's racing, your not supposed to save the rain forest.
Jimmy Jose LopezSep 14, 2011 It's not really wasted potential. The new technology they develop for these cars usually trickles down to the market cars. Not always, but usually haha
Eddie FilipovicSep 14, 2011 @Ken, if F1 isn't careful they will lose a lot of fans because of green crap initiative. F1 originally wanted a inline-4 turbo! I hate the new FIA board. I want the V10s back!
Ken MadisonSep 14, 2011 I love the wasted potential of these types of cars. What's the point of using such small engines, it would be a lot more interesting if there was a 5.7 or 6 liter cap with forced induction instead...
Brad WoodSep 14, 2011 Does anyone know where these can be purchased? The price?
Description: The engine produces a limited 165hp and 162lb-ft of torque, making it more powerful (although not by much) than previous engines have been. The new cars are totally compliant with FIA safety regulatio...Add Comments0
Joel McdSep 15, 2011 This would rip a Prius up. You got to remember they need to keep these cheap so up and coming racers and teams can afford them. The thing with formula ford is the teams are only allowed to make minimal changes and really only to the cars setup.
Ty PiperSep 15, 2011 There needs to be a v10 in the back of the thing.... So sad...
Colin BoyleSep 14, 2011 Ford needs to step it up, I would now rank a Toyota prius higher
