Brabus Rocket 800 Unveiled Ahead of Frankfurt

German tuning firm Brabus claims they have created the world's fastest sedan.
German tuner Brabus has just revealed their latest creation on the evening ahead of the Frankfurt Auto Show: the 2012 Brabus Rocket 800, which is based off the current Mercedes-Benz CLS. Although an official press release isn't available yet, sources are indicating that Brabus has managed to stuff a V12 under the hood. Normally, the Mercedes CLS is powered by a standard 3.5-liter V6, an optional 4.6-liter V8, or a 5.5-liter V8 with 518hp in the CLS63 AMG.

As such, Brabus is claiming the Rocket 800 to be the fastest sedan in the world. Top speed is supposedly 230mph. The V12 has an output of around 800hp and 811 lb-ft of torque. We'll have more details hopefully tomorrow once the Frankfurt show formally begins. Until then, check out these official pictures of what may just be the ultimate sedan in the world (at least until the Bugatti Galibier arrives).
