Toyota Motorsport GmbH (TMG) has released new details about their attempt to set an EV speed record at the
Nurburgring on August 29th. The EV racer prototype seen in the photos hasn't been given an official name, but it does feature a 41.5KW lithium-ceramic battery that powers two electric motors producing 375hp and 435 lb-ft of torque. The two-seater weighs just 970kg (2,138 lbs) and can accelerate from 0-62 mph in just 3.9 seconds and has a top speed of 162 mph.
