Edo Competition Unveils the M5 Dark Edition

Edo Competition has announced its tuning package for the outgoing generation BMW M5 wagon. The German tuner, in their official press release, describes the family transport as "black, extremely quick and imposing." By taking one look at the super wagon, it's safe to say they are pretty much spot on.

The German tuner, in their official press release describes the wagon as "black, extremely quick and imposing." By taking one look at the super wagon, it's safe to say they are pretty much spot on. The family transport is styled with a revised front fascia and a restyled rear bumper. A new rear spoiler and new 20-inch alloy wheels wrapped in Dunlop tires complete the pure black look.

Performance on the M5 Dark is pretty impressive going from 0-62mph in 4.2 seconds, which is a half second drop from the standard model. The M5 Dark also hits a top speed of 190mph which is up from the standard M5's meek 155mph limit. The performance enhancements on the M5 Dark include a V10 which spits out 543hp and has a torque of 413 lb/ft. A recalibrated ECU, new sports catalysts and a sports air filter accompany a specially designed sports exhaust system that gives this wagon a real punch. All the tuning and modifications for the Edo Dark 5 are carried out at Edo Competition Motorsport GmbH in Ahlen, Germany.
