Donzaile HallAug 09, 2011 I drive a 2008 dodge magnum se, and I think they should bring the car back, I was looking to work for Dodge as a designer and that was Americas Station wagon, a force like no other, bring it back and amp up the dodge to compete with the corvette zo6
Patrick SchalkJul 21, 2011 Yeah sometimes. Sometimes they don't know anything. Find a private seller. I've found some in and around Cali. Hell I traveled to Chicago to get my Camaro.
Mike HawkJul 21, 2011 They know that the demand for the SRT is strong. (if we know it, they know it). I'm keeping an eye out for Vegas, since I'm only 3 hrs away. But my priority is to replace my old silverado.
Patrick SchalkJul 21, 2011 Oh that's pretty crappy. I bet you could go in there and Jew them down. Tell them you write them a check for 35k or no go. Or you could get one from another state? 50k for a used Chally is horrible.
Mike HawkJul 21, 2011 Dealerships wanna mark up to 50k(OTD) for a used SRT8.
Salesmen are shifty everywhere, but more so in California
Mike HawkJul 21, 2011 35k is what's being advertised, but what I want to negotiate is 35k...out the door: cash.
Patrick SchalkJul 21, 2011 Eeehhhh. That's pretty spendy. Ever look at used? I've seen some that have less than 10k miles on em for about 35.
Mike HawkJul 21, 2011 Yeah it's orange and the dealership wants 50k out the door
Vincent ButlerJul 21, 2011 I completely disagree with you Mike. You drove a RENTAL CAR! I had the same experience with a mustang GT, car was in terrible condition. My parents have a dodge magnum srt8. I used to drive it to school everyday, amazing car period wagon has balls
Patrick SchalkJul 21, 2011 Ahhh. Well that's cool. But I'm sure if they made another Magnum it would be awesome. Chrysler is on the right track. I'd love to see a concept. Find that Chally yet? ;)
Mike HawkJul 21, 2011 Malibu (as ugly as it is)...FTW
Mike HawkJul 21, 2011 A rental will give you a good idea of how much wear and tear a car can truly handle.
Mike HawkJul 21, 2011 Yup, Patrick. Enterprise rentals got R/Ts here in CA.
But Shane, I've also rented Malibus with higher mileage, and they drove much nicer. And believe me, I think Malibus are ugly, but they are comfy.
Shane CarrollJul 20, 2011 @Mike thats because they were rentals. Not exactly treated with kit gloves. I know we flogged the mess out of the one we got
Ken MadisonJul 20, 2011 Jeez. Put that money into the ACR. Wagons are horrid, even the CTS V wagon
Edgar JaureguiJul 20, 2011 My cousin has a magnum :) I actually really like the drive and they're pretty quick. Besides styling's pretty cool too
Patrick SchalkJul 20, 2011 They have rental R/T Magnums and Chargers?
Mike HawkJul 20, 2011 I've always expressed my distaste for these twin cars, but never explained my reasons until now.
My rental experiences ruined my view on these cars.
Mike HawkJul 20, 2011 I had bad experiences with the magnum and it's charger twin, from renting. They were both R/Ts. The throttle lagged and the steering was soupy. Rearvisibility was dangerously small.
Erik AyalaJul 20, 2011 Love my magnum have and R/T
Shane CarrollJul 20, 2011 We rented one for a weekend, great car. Pretty quick too
Duncan JolleyJul 20, 2011 I think the Magnum is a great car, they should bring it back.
Michael DavidsonJul 20, 2011 I love the Magnums so much, PLEASE bring it back!!!
Greg LewisJul 20, 2011 I wanted a magnum with the chargers front end... And by the looks of the first gens it may been an easy swap...
Michael GallagherJul 20, 2011 Magnum isn't a bad design at all. Not a top fav car, but it was pretty cool.
Robby BradfordJul 20, 2011 Gilles knows what he's talking about
Patrick SchalkJul 20, 2011 I JUST said this the other day about the Magnum. It died before it's time. Wagons are back and Dodge would be wise to make a new one.
Michael PalazzoJul 20, 2011 if they facelift it similarly to the new Charger and give it an SRT-8 than I'm sure they could make it really cool.
Mike BottéJul 20, 2011 I hope they bring it back. A mans car is needed instead of the population of prius's. Smhh
Shane CarrollJul 20, 2011 I like the magnum, we need more wagons
Patrick SchalkJul 21, 2011 No. I want something that's gonna be reliable and easy to work on. Such as the LS series engines or the Stang engines.
Leo Di LeoJul 21, 2011 Nice car, so is the vette, but IMO if your gonna by a sports car, you have to buy european
Etienne SurretteJul 21, 2011 @ Jacob
I agree, Vipers just look way more exotic than vettes, even the new ZR1, which I have to say is epic looking
Ken MadisonJul 21, 2011 I'm with Patrick.
I've heard the ACR and ZR1, the ZR1 sounds better at idle and say, below 5000 RPMs. Over 5000 RPMs, the ACR has a nicer sound.
Patrick SchalkJul 21, 2011 Yeah but when I see a ZR1 I immediately crap my pants and then throw my crap pants on the nearest Prius I can find. Viper and Vette are both amazing machines. I'm just glad they are both American.
Jacob McCordJul 21, 2011 I'd choose the viper over a vette. you see so many Vettes on the road. when you see one u look at it for what, about 3 seconds? but you see a viper pass by u look at it till u can't see it.
Alan SkorepaJul 20, 2011 Vipers are a lot better than vettes. Not always performance wise but just style. Plus there are way too many corvettes out there
Ken MadisonJul 20, 2011 Damn. Tough choice.
Now that the new ZR1 set a 7:19 around the ring I'd have to take the ZR1. But before that I would have taken the ACR.
Chris PenzaJul 20, 2011 The acr is legal but it's a lot rarer than the srt-1p
Michael PalazzoJul 20, 2011 I think the ACR is more exclusive and more of a head turner than the ZR1 but I love em both too!
Drew J. KleywegJul 20, 2011 yeah thats right patrick. i forgot there was another version :-P but id say the viper is definately way more hardcore than the vette
Shane CarrollJul 20, 2011 Exactly Micheal. And shouldn't there be a picture of a Magnum here anyway?
Michael DavidsonJul 20, 2011 Why don't everyone stop arguing about the corvette and viper, this is all about dodge right now, not chevy
Greg LewisJul 20, 2011 Neither... I can't afford either! Lol I do have to agree that vettes are a dime a dozen on the road (mainly cause the viper and gt40 got the axe)
Patrick SchalkJul 20, 2011 Viper ACR-X is the one that isn't street legal I believe. I love both.
Michael PalazzoJul 20, 2011 the Viper ACR is 100% street legal, I know someone that drives his daily.
Drew J. KleywegJul 20, 2011 make it easy take the top viper vs the top vette, acr vs. zr1 that choice is obvious even though the viper isnt street legal
Shawn GriffithJul 20, 2011 Prefer the Viper, myself. Since I live in Kentucky, you see Corvettes on the road as much as you do V6 Mustangs.
Peter BruschiJul 20, 2011 got ur back dude, viper doesnt have a chance

Andy KleschickJul 21, 2011 That's what I'm talkin about!! New charger, oh yeah!!!
Sean HiselJul 20, 2011 The back is amazing. The front isn't so good, though.
Chris PenzaJul 20, 2011 Screw the charger the front is better now but the back is hideous
Description: The Dodge Magnum was also a big hit in Europe and Australia as well. The wagon was dubbed the Chrysler 300 Touring and used a front end taken straight from the 300C.Add Comments2
Chris PenzaJul 20, 2011 I agree but i'm not a big fan of the headlights on the new ones
Paul Paxton BeausejourJul 20, 2011 I would love to see that 300 wagon. Just like Chip Foose did on Overhaulin'. Always loved the Magnum but that front end of the 300 is just sweet!!!!
Etienne SurretteJul 25, 2011 The viper isn't exactly know for it's interior
Vincent ButlerJul 21, 2011 Interior looks like it could be in 80's car
Patrick SchalkJul 21, 2011 Well depends on my money situation. If I have tons of money I'll have a supercharged LS3, Corsa pace system exhaust, C6 Z06 brakes, ZR1 hypersilver wheels, ZR1 gears, hooker long tubes, cam/heads, badass fuel system, and some cosmetic stuff.
Ken MadisonJul 21, 2011 Make sure you get a 04, they are a good deal better than the other years of the C4.
Any plans on how you are going to nod your C5?
*I'm waiting to welcome you to the owners club
Patrick SchalkJul 21, 2011 Yeah I get a Corvette parts magazine every month and circle the stuff I want for my Vette even though I don't have it yet haha. A millennium yellow C5 Z06 would be ideal. I'm gonna build my version of a C6 ZR1 with my C5 Z06. It's gonna be great.
Ken MadisonJul 21, 2011 That car will always hold a special place in my heart. Too bad some retard in his Celica was trying to race me and lost control and messed up the whole right side taking off.
Ugh. I didn't even race. First day I was back home too that rotation.
Ken MadisonJul 21, 2011 I miss the flip up head lights.
I remember when I got my 04 corvette.... In 04. I felt like a boss.
First thing I did was swap the headers, throw on a 3 inch exhaust system without mufflers, and put on a ram air.
I ran US42. Memories.
Patrick SchalkJul 21, 2011 Yeah I honestly like the GTR a lot. But I don't like all the computers and stuff. I will have a C5 Z06 in a few years. I think they are one of the coolest cars ever. I love the way they look.
Patrick SchalkJul 20, 2011 I didn't say anything about the GTR? I like the GTR but would take a Z06 over it every time.
Ken MadisonJul 20, 2011 What's wrong is the whole car is a big computer, and it still gets beaten by cars like the ACR and ZR1.
Chris PenzaJul 20, 2011 Patrick what is wrong with the gtr? There's no real manual but it's still a great car
Josh SuttonJul 20, 2011 Keeps you from forgetting what car you're in.
Andy AranaJul 20, 2011 Keeping it simple, that's all it needs!
Patrick SchalkJul 20, 2011 That's all business boys. No bells and whistles here.
Danny ScottJul 20, 2011 Nice car.. Interior is unrefined though for the price they as for these things..
Shane CarrollJul 20, 2011 This car eats yuppies. When yuppies see this car coming they turn and run for cover
Greg LewisJul 20, 2011 But how will the yuppies drive them?
Shane CarrollJul 20, 2011 Just as long as they keep it a stick shift
Etienne SurretteJul 21, 2011 @ Chris
Yeah, saw a red viper srt10 yesterday, and it looked epic
Chris PenzaJul 20, 2011 Red please. I saw one last week that was red with black stripes and weird pinstripes that killed it. I also saw a yellow gts convertible that day
Josh SuttonJul 20, 2011 I'm not a huge fan of this color- black or silver.
I drive a 2008 dodge magnum se, and I think they should bring the car back, I was looking to work for Dodge as a designer and that was Americas Station wagon, a force like no other, bring it back and amp up the dodge to compete with the corvette zo6
