Volkswagen Golf R Gets Tuning From SIEMONEIT RACING

SIEMONEIT RACING gives the Volkswagen Golf R a tuning. The end result gives the famous hot hatch a boost under the hood and is available in several different package options.

SIEMONEIT RACING gives the Volkswagen Golf R a tuning. The new package will be dubbed, quite fittingly, The Black Pearl. The package will be offered along with extra features to enhance the overall performance such as a reprogrammed transmission. In addition, the package also reduces weight with a carbon fiber hood. Under the Black Pearl hood, 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder gets boosted from a revised ECU and a stainless-steel sport exhaust system.

The end result is a total increase of 85hp and 100 lb-ft of torque from the standard 270hp and 236 lb-ft. The option of adding even more horsepower (for a total of 530hp) is also available, of course it's going to cost a bit more. The breakdown of the pricing for the SIEMONEIT RACING package is as follows: ECU Modification will go for €698, DSG Modification €298, Intake System €449, High Pressure Fuel Pump €499, Center Intercooler €1,199 and Exhaust System €1,749. No pricing was announced for the 530hp upgrade, but we'd say it's probably worth it.
