New Zealand Earthquake Digests SUV

Things have not been so smooth down under lately. In Christchurch, New Zealand, a powerful round of aftershocks devastated the city on June 13th and in the process, managed to swallow a Audi Q7 SUV. Although the road damage is clearly visible, luckily nobody was killed. The last major earthquake that took place last February resulted in around 65 fatalities. The magnitude of the previous fatal earthquake was a massive 6.3.

There were, however, several injuries during the most recent round of aftershocks. It is truly amazing that no one was seriously hurt. Unfortunately, that cannot be said for at least one Audi. Photos courtesy of Martin Hunter/Getty Images.
