Aston and Zagato Celebrate 50 Years

Aston Martin has just announced its newest project with Italian design house Zagato. It marks the 50th anniversary of the 1961 DB4GT Zagato. The new car will be making its first official debut on May 21st at the Villa D'Este Concours. Afterwards, it will make its first race appearance at the Nurburgring later in the month. After both events, the companies will gauge customer interest and then decide whether or not to build a production version for the 2012 model year.

The original DB4GT Zagato was a stripped-out version of the British automaker's car. Only 19 were built. For now, only a teaser image has been released, but we'll be sure to post the real thing once pictures are available.
