Mitsubishi has brought its new Global Small Concept for its world premiere at the 2011 Geneva Motor Show this week. The GSC has been called by Mitsubishi as the perfect successor to the Japanese automaker's long gone bread and butter model, the Colt. What's more is that the folks over at Mitsubishi have stated that the hatchback variation combines the basic model's compact size with affordability and fuel efficiency.
The GSC is a five-seater hatchback that will come offered with a range of gasoline engines. These engines come in sizes from 1.0- to 1.2-liters, and the vehicle will also feature regenerative braking and stop-start features to ensure that CO2 emissions will fall under the mid-90g/km range. The exterior is sleek and well designed, and the vehicle is supposed to drive smoother thanks to a lighter powertrain, chassis and body, and optimizations to the CVT transmission. We can expect for the production version of the car to come out by March 2012.
