New Chrysler Ram Cargo Van

In the recent past, Chrysler has had to deal with a number of problems. The latest was its split with Daimler, which caused uncertainty for Chrysler's commercial vehicle segment. But now that the Ram division is back to its old self, the commercial variant of the Dodge Caravan has been released. The Ram Cargo Van features solid side panels in place of glass windows and a flat load floor to maximize carrying capacity.

The van is powered by the same 283-horsepower 3.6-liter Pentastar V6 that we've seen in the Dodge Caravan. It also sports a heavier-duty suspension with load leveling aimed at commercial use. The new Ram Cargo Vans will be produced at Chrysler's Windsor, Ontario plant and will go on sale by the end of 2011 as 2012 models.
