Kia Top of the Range SX Added

Kia came to the Geneva Motor Show with two offers, the Picanto and the Rio. At the same time, Kia had also released details and pricing on its new turbocharged 2011 Sportage SX trim. This top of the line trim level is also set to arrive in Kia showrooms across the U.S. later this month. The SX is Kia's second vehicle in the U.S. to feature the automaker's 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine with direct-injection and a twin-scroll turbocharger that's capable of producing 256-horsepower.

The firm's engine is connected to a six-speed automatic transmission and comes with an option of front-wheel drive or all-wheel drive. The SX also sports a tuned suspension with firmer shock and strut rates for improved handling. There are also some new added features like 18-inch alloy wheels and grille trim, dual exhaust, and special side sill moldings. The interior has some upgrades, including aluminum door sills and a modified gauge cluster. The starting price for the SX is $26,490.
