Rolls-Royce To Go Electric with Concept


Rolls Royce has finally made an announcement that will put speculation at rest. The luxury automaker has announced that the 102EX Concept, a one-off electric Phantom, will be debuting at the Geneva Motor Show in March. Any technical specification for the EV concept are still unknown and are set to be revealed only at the start of the Geneva show.

As with previous concepts, this one also carries the EX name which stands for experimental. Rolls Royce has also stated that the car will tour during 2011 and will serve as a tester to gather a bank of research data which will help the automaker with future decision on alternative drivetrains. In preparation for the Geneva debut, the luxury automaker will launch the website electricluxury.com, which will act as a portal for questions from the media, VIPs, and stakeholders.
