Clay HigdonJan 01, 2012 Happy new year you angry fools.
Jairo GarciaDec 31, 2011 Great car to end the year, factory 5 has some nice kits :D
Alanda BurroughsDec 31, 2011 By-the-way, most of Factory Five's kit support Ford parts and motors. All of them can us an LS motor, but the vast majority of builders prefer old-style pushrod Fords. A few will use the new MOD motors, but even fewer use the LS...with the exception of the GTM. It only uses the LS.
Alanda BurroughsDec 31, 2011 They don't use GM parts because they're cheaper than Ford's. They use them because the GTM is designed to be based on a Corvette donor. The GTM use as many C-5 Corvette parts as possible to keep the cost down and simplify the build. It's better to get all you need from one car rather than piece together something from multiple cars.
Devin BabynDec 31, 2011 They use GM parts over Ford cause there cheap. It's the same reason so many people use a 350 when building a ford hotrod
Matthew McKernanDec 31, 2011 I have a brochure for one of these, they're pretty fast, and if you chose to build it yourself, pretty cheep too.
Jimmy Jose LopezDec 31, 2011 The modded Ford is what makes the FFR roadster...not the GTM -.- big difference. Anyways, most kit cars are built with GM parts. who wouldn't want any LS series motor roaring behind your head?? Haha

Joshua RutkowskiJan 01, 2012 I thought it was built off of a ford gt.
Kevin RehbockDec 31, 2011 The off idle torque must be a bear to handle.
Micah LauDec 31, 2011 Being able to take off from a complete stop in fifth gear?!! Why would you want to do that? That would be very hard on the bottom end of the engine, and you would have very little torque.
Michael EvansDec 31, 2011 Hum gm suspion that was a great idea lol.

Shawn SullivanDec 31, 2011 I can only imagine some traction issues?
Jack HigginsDec 31, 2011 Why? You can't put that power down, that's common sense. More power doesn't mean faster.
Alanda BurroughsDec 31, 2011 I don't know how anyone can say this car looks like a GT40. Last time I checked the GT40 had rectangle headlights and this car doesn't. From no angle can I see GT40.
John SerelyDec 31, 2011 @Ahmad, I can kind of see that
Tanton StonemanDec 31, 2011 Looks like it. Good observation.
Chris PenzaDec 31, 2011 Those are definitely ford GT lights
Jack HigginsDec 31, 2011 That would be an ugly ass supra lol

Nick MitchellJan 03, 2012 @Ryan...I am fourteen too, but I admit I don't know too much and I learn lots more each article... But I warn you not to act like you know everything it only ends poorly
Nick MitchellJan 03, 2012 Just stop arguing...Ryans friend may or may not be real..and Ryan is only Fourteen and does not know everything...
John SerelyJan 02, 2012 Ok, now I am done arguing with an ignorant kid who knows nothing about what he he talking about.
John SerelyJan 02, 2012 If you can not understand that, then I don't know if you will understand anything
John SerelyJan 02, 2012 @Ryan, your friend (I stand by my theory that he may not be real) was saying stuff to your teacher that the teacher did not know, then maybe the stuff was not important. If you were a mechanic, then you would not need to know stuff that was not important. Your friend (if real) is most likely the kid who knows a bunch of random, useless facts that have nothing to do with the important stuff that yo...
Ryan FilkinsJan 02, 2012 @ Lukas Lebs if you could read, youd see that i said that was my friend, not me
Lukas LebsJan 02, 2012 ... Carbuzz hates young teens who think they know more than a fully certified car mechanic, and even worse when he stated hes a self taught...
Ryan FilkinsJan 02, 2012 i really didnt make him up idk why u think i did
Ryan FilkinsJan 02, 2012 John, I dont know why you think I made up my friend Mark, I go to Southeastern Regional Vocational Technical High School and I'm a freshman that just got into my shop (Automotive) and Mark was telling the teacher (a master diesel mechanic) thingsthat
John SerelyJan 01, 2012 Like smarter than a master diesel mechanic? Really? If your going to lie, at least make it believable (just some friendly advice) Oh....one more thing, this is a stupid argument and I am done arguing with a 14 year old kid, I don't know about everyone else, but I got way better things to do than waste my time arguing with a kid who may not even know what he is talking about (@Ryan I am not saying ...
John SerelyJan 01, 2012 Sorry about blowing up at you before, but still... You got to stop exaggerating that type of stuff
Patrick SchalkJan 01, 2012 Ryan I think it was your brother who kinda threw you under the bus about stuff.
Ryan FilkinsJan 01, 2012 @LaRon Webb preach it brotha
Ryan FilkinsJan 01, 2012 And I wasnt acting cocky?
Ryan FilkinsJan 01, 2012 A 14 year old kid, smh at you guys
Ryan FilkinsJan 01, 2012 @No Pistons i know what your saying, if you put whatever that was in front of me i wouldnt know what to do with it, i was simply trying to say what i know and now theres a big argument about it cuz these people think theyre nice cuz they can tell off
Jenni BodenJan 01, 2012 Do they still teach English in US schools?
No PistonsJan 01, 2012 Rant done sorry longer then expected lol
No PistonsJan 01, 2012 BUT DO NOT ACT COCKY with your limited knowledge without even being a competition level driver or race team tuner/mechanic. Hell my head hurts trying to understand these guys when they talk and even I have a LOT to learn still.
No PistonsJan 01, 2012 Back pressure, chemical difference and affect between 94 and 100 octane(along with how it is utilized between high and low compression motors) suspension equation, I can go on and on. It's great your into cars and have an understanding at a young age
No PistonsJan 01, 2012 I can promise you that if I put a AP in your hand with an untuned turbo applicated vehicle you would have no idea how to get it running(calibrating the MAF/AF ratio, spark tables, load max % etc) let alone understand the importance of charge temps..
No PistonsJan 01, 2012 If your going to act like a know it all you better be able to back your words up, anyone can turn a wrench it takes time for experience which you obviously don't have, some of us have been building/working track cars longer then you have been alive..
Jenni BodenJan 01, 2012 The Filkins are not the most literate family. But they, like, know cars and stuff. Like, totally more than the rest if. Because they have the Car Buzz app. And stuff.
Mario CallirgosJan 01, 2012 For being such a male dominated app there is alot of crying
Ryan FilkinsJan 01, 2012 Guys, i honestly dont care what you have to say, I was simply trying to say what I have to say and now your calling me an ignorant teen, and that im making up my friend Mark? You guys jus think your hot shit cuz u can tell off a kid. All u had to say
Mario CallirgosJan 01, 2012 Of the labor yourself but you can build one fro around 65k
Mario CallirgosJan 01, 2012 The base cost is just under 20k and you can get almost all your parts from a C5 minus a transaxle from porsche but even that you can get cheaper if you dont get the one from the gt3rs. It wound not be nearly as fast as this one and you would do alot
John SerelyJan 01, 2012 Ryan, I. Just read your comment about your (fake) friend mark again. I don't think you know how much of an idiot you sounded like. It's obvious (VERY obvious) that you made all of that up. your friend, if real, is either very good at lying to you or knows more than you (which would still be nothing compared to everyone on car buzz) and because you think you know a lot, you think he knows everythin...
John SerelyJan 01, 2012 @Ryan I bet your friend mark doesn't know anything compared to everyone on carbuzz (your probably just making him up, too). Your just an ignorant teenager who doesn't know anything about cars (but you wish you did know something). Wait till your a little older and you'll relize how stupid you sound right now.
Patrick SchalkJan 01, 2012 Ryan do you know anything about labor costs? Do you know how much a person would charge to put all of these things together. This is a custom setup from different cars.
Racing2liveJan 01, 2012 It's not overpriced when it's the same price as a GT-R and can even outrun it.
I guess Godzilla is not #1 anymore in a performance to price ratio.
Ryan FilkinsJan 01, 2012 Thank you Branko and Kevin, but the company itself doesnt sell them but a guy that works there puts them together and does sell them
Kevin RehbockJan 01, 2012 Shows how credible you are, as Patrick put it. Factory Five doesn't sell pre-assembled cars from their factory for any price. And my 14 year old cousin is a rap superstar who's also a F1 driver in his spare time. Funny how that works.
Ryan FilkinsJan 01, 2012 AND you guys are trying to tell me that u doubt i know about cars cuz of my age, my friend Mark is 14 years old, and he knows more about cars than any of you, guaranteed, he taught himself and is smarter than a master diesel mechanic lvl III
Ryan FilkinsJan 01, 2012 And u guys are still tryna tell me when i went on a tour in factory five and u can buy it built from one of their workers for 65k
Colby FilkinsJan 01, 2012 ur all friggin retarted im ryans brother and hes a good driver he knows mad shit bout cars...amd still one of u stupid asses said its gunna cost 55k-60k this n i g g a is sellin it for almost 90k
Ryan FilkinsJan 01, 2012 Enough to drive doesnt mean anything
Ryan FilkinsJan 01, 2012 Guys, chill, im just saying the guys selling it for too much and u all think its an incredible deal, all im saying is it would be cheaper to build it than to buy it from this guy, idc if u guys think i know cars or not, and just because im not old
Kevin RehbockJan 01, 2012 So I buy a kit for $20K and then what Ryan? I just can't build it right away like you think. Gotta have a donor Vette and 911 too. A G50 doesn't come cheap. The kit also doesn't include CV joints, a complete fuel system, a clutch assembly, suspension components, exhaust manifolds, and engine computers. Know anything about that? I doubt it very much.
Patrick SchalkDec 31, 2011 Haha Ryan you aren't even old enough to drive. Your credibility went WAY down.
Jairo GarciaDec 31, 2011 Dammit I bought the kit already lmao
Cody JacquesDec 31, 2011 haha read what you type before hitting that "Post" button.
for the price this car is as much as a super car killer as the nissan gt-r
No PistonsDec 31, 2011 Lol @ "I'm only 14 but I know a thing or two about cars". That's like saying you took one year of physics in college and you call yourself a professor in the matter. Sorry I sensed cockiness in his post and had to strike
John SerelyDec 31, 2011 @Ryan, alanda is right. You should wait till your a little older before trying to make buying recommendations because your comment below makes it sound like you don't know much at all about cars ( and chances are you don't)
Ryan 'Aquase' BartekDec 31, 2011 Best of all, you don't have to build it. It is rtr.
Alanda BurroughsDec 31, 2011 Ryan you may want to wait until you get a little older before you start recommending buying decisions. Yes the basic kit sells for $20 Grand. But that don't include the $7-10k transaxle, the engine and assorted other parts, and certainly not the labor and custom parts.
The usual cost to build the average GTM is around $45-55k. But this GTM is anything but average. For this type of performance, yo...
Ryan FilkinsDec 31, 2011 Dont buy this, if u want it, i recommend you visit the factory five warehouse in wareham massachussetts and buy the kit for 20,000$ and build it yourself, although im 14 years old, i know a thing or two about cars, and the seller is trying to jip ppl
John SerelyDec 31, 2011 Thats actually a really good deal for that prefomace.
Daniel MarinoDec 31, 2011 90 grand holy **** that's amazing!!!!!
Michael PalazzoJan 01, 2012 @ Erik, it sounds way deeper & more sputtery than a normal Corvette.
Shane HeidJan 01, 2012 Haha David lol gotta love some good sarcasm
David ChoDec 31, 2011 What's that engine for? lol (reference to last pic)
Patrick SchalkDec 31, 2011 I bet this is way loud. They are using an h pipe too so it can vary depending on setup. I'd love to hear this bad boy. Depends on the muffler too. I bet it doesn't sound like a Vette but I bet it sounds amazingly awesome
KevinandKat KalinaDec 31, 2011 Seems to me the exhaust needs ceramic coated and wrapped looks like it would be making the intake temps hot
Patrick SchalkDec 31, 2011 That's the FAST intake. Those are spendy.
Paul DickeyDec 31, 2011 I think the intake looks pretty bad ass
Cody MatthewsJan 08, 2012 I prefer digital analog like in the LFA

Paul LissonaDec 31, 2011 Interior door handles look like Toyota ones which is ok.
Chris PenzaDec 31, 2011 Now that's a racing interior
